*Song is Devil In Me by Halsey*
Evangeline POV:
It had been a week or so since Elijah's last visit to the apartment and since then I had heard rumors of a bombing in the bayou. The rumors had stunned me as I wondered who on earth had the guts to go after the werewolves with whom Hayley resided. Fear of the Mikaelsons alone would keep most unwanted attention far away. It had taken me a while to come up with any possibilities but when I did it made me sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
"Now, Now, Angie," Henry asked as we sat in the living room of my apartment, "I may be reckless but I'm not suicidal. I wouldn't bomb any place let alone the residence of the werewolf carrying Klaus' baby. Not my style, plus Hayley is your friend as well is she not? Any friend of yours is a friend of mine."
I let out a sigh of relief at this, glad that I had gotten it off my chest. Of course Henry wasn't that stupid, he did have a few self preservation instincts left in him after all his centuries. "I believe you." I told him, relaxing back into the couch. "There's a funeral today for Father Kieran, I have to make an appearance and it would be great if you would come with me."
"You're asking me to go to a funeral with you?" Henry raise an eyebrow as he took a sip from his bloodbag. "At least take me to dinner first."
I gave him a pointed look while he simply chuckled, holding his hands up in surrender. "I can introduce you to Klaus."
"How riveting." He replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Check that right off my bucket list."
Shoving his shoulder I watched as he stumbled from his relaxed position, feet falling off the footrest. "Asshole." I muttered, covering it with a fake cough which only seemed to amuse Henry. "Look I don't want to go there alone, Elijah will probably be there and I don't know if I'm ready to talk to him yet. Or if he even wants to talk to me. I need moral support, Henry."
"If Elijah doesn't want to talk things over with you then he's obviously an idiot." Henry scoffed and I smiled sadly. "As long as this little shindig isn't happening in a church then I'm more than willing to go."
I laughed under my breath, recalling his absolute hatred for churches. "It isn't in a church, I promise."

The sound of Irish music blared through my eardrums, you could certainly tell this was an Irish wake. With the music and the fact it was being held in a bar. Henry had insisted on being 'fashionably late' which for him meant two hours, but I had finally managed to drag him from the apartment long enough to put him in a car. He was now happily sipping on a bottle of bourbon beside me as I searched the room for any familiar faces. I found only Hayley and Camille.
Deciding to give my condolences to Camille first, I excused myself from Henry and began making my way over to her. She smiled ever so slightly when she saw me approaching and I politely returned the smile as I came to a stop besides her. "I am so sorry for your loss, he didn't deserve that." I offered my sympathy and judging by what I had heard about his death, I was correct in thinking that he did not deserve such suffering.
"Thank you, Evangeline." She replied before Marcel had made his way over, nodding in my direction. I ignored the gesture and quickly excused myself, lord only knows how the Mikaelsons would react should they see me talking to Marcel after what had happened.
I began to make my way back to where I had left Henry, only to find that he was gone. Spinning around quickly in circles, I looked all around for any sight of him. He was nowhere to be found. I could only think of one possibility and the thought of it made me groan out in frustration. Of all the times and places he had to choose now to go outside and quench his thirst.
