Third Person POV:

The second Evangeline had caught sight of her brother she had charged towards him, practically knocking him over with the force of her crashing into him. "I've missed you so much, brother." She sighed, breathing in his familiar scent as she clung tightly to him, crushing him in her embrace. "Don't think I'm forgiving you though, I'm still pissed that you got yourself killed like that. How dare you make me worry?"

"I missed you too, Eva, trust me." Damon replied, returning her embrace. "I promise I'll never get myself killed to save Stefan again, not after seeing what the afterlife has in store for me."

Evangeline took a step back. "What did it have in store for you?"

"Well, let's just say even hell would have been better than that tacky Retro nightmare." Damon brushed it off, not especially keen on telling his sister how he had abandoned Bonnie Bennett. "How has the land of living been treating you, sister?"

Evangeline pursed her lips, trying to figure out a way to explain everything to him. "It's been eventful, to say the least. Elijah has just recently gone mad and killed a whole restaurant full of people, but that's a secret. Mostly though I've been drinking away the sadness."

"Was it a restaurant full of terrible murderers?" Damon questioned which caused Evangeline to chuckle and shake her head. "You're right, he's gone mad. Then again, the stress of watching over you could drive anyone to kill."

Evangeline smacked his arm, faking insult at Damon's childish remark. "For your information, I didn't return to the Mikaelsons after your death until after Elijah went mad."

"When you say Mikaelsons, does that mean you have also returned to Klaus?"

"Well, I was on my way to see him when you called." Evangeline admitted. "I needed to speak with him about something."

Damon narrowed his eyes. "I guess I called at the perfect time then."

"Damon." I grumbled, not really wanting to hear how much Damon loathed Klaus. "You haven't seen him in over a year, Damon, he's different now."

Damon pressed his lips tightly together in disapproval. "You say that every time and every time he hasn't changed at all."

"You sound like Elijah, I didn't come here to get another lecture brother." I took a seat in the chair across from where Damon had been seated as he took a seat in his chair. "I've had enough lecturing in the past 24 hours to last me an eternity."

Damon rolled his eyes at that. "It'll be enough lecturing when you finally come to your senses about Klaus Mikaelson." He scoffed. "But since this is a special occasion with me rising from the dead and all, I'll let you off this one time."

"So what exactly do you all get up to these days now that you can't get into Mystic Falls?"

"You, dear sister, will never have to know." Damon replied and Evangeline raised her eyebrow. "As of a couple hours ago, the spell that kept us out has officially been lifted."

Evangeline POV:

As we pulled up to the front of the Boarding House it finally hit me how much I had missed it here, all the memories I had made here, my brothers. "All your things are still in your room, we made sure nobody touched anything." Damon spoke and I turned to look at him with a smile.

"Good, because if you had I would have to send you back to the hell dimension you just crawled out of." I joked, Damon chuckled. "So are we just going to sit out here or are we actually going to go inside?"
