Chapter 6: Family Reunion

Evangeline POV:

"Evangeline." Katherine grinned at me as I placed my hands on the end of the table with my own smile, Rebekah was currently glaring at me like I'd done some horrible deed. Which I wasn't yet sure of. "Finally, I was beginning to think you'd been locked up in some underground cave to keep you from putting yourself in danger.'

"It took me all of one minute, Kat, and Elijah wouldn't lock me in an underground cave."

I saw Damon's eyes narrow in my direction and I returned the favor. "So this whole time you've been with an Original Vampire?"

"Not the whole time." I replied, forcing my brothers to scoot over so that I could sit beside Stefan on the end of the bench. The other option was sitting next to Rebekah and I wasn't about to do that. "Just since I figured out the lot of you killed Kol, wait. Now that I think of it I have been with an Original the whole time."

My brothers didn't look pleased with my response, but Katherine looked absolutely ecstatic right now. "Can we please get back on topic? Katherine needs to show us the cure."

"I don't think Katherine needs to do anything, Rebekah."

"I will reach across this table and wring your neck, Evangeline."

"Fine." Katherine turned quickly in her seat and looked expectantly at Rebekah. "Move, you have to follow me."

Rebekah slid from her seat and allowed Katherine to begin leading the way. "Let's go, Angie." Katherine called back at me and I stood from my seat, but Stefan grabbed me before I could go after her, giving Damon the time to slip around us and up out of the diner.

"You're with me." Stefan stated and I gave him a look, were they seriously splitting us up like bickering children? "I need Elijah's number and I'm assuming you have it."

I crossed my arms over my chest. "Of course I do, but why on earth would I disclose that information to you?"

"Because if we don't get Elena and the cure, then Rebekah can kill Katherine, Elijah has Elena."

"Fine." I sighed loudly and grabbed Stefan's phone from his hand as we exited the diner. "You know I could just call Elijah myself, so much easier. Well it would be if I had a phone, damn Flappy Bird to hell."

Stefan rolled his eyes at me and I handed him the phone with Elijah's number typed into it. "Sorry sister, but you are team bad guys as of now."

"Why am I always the bad guy here? You're the one who kidnapped my friend, I'm just the innocent bystander in this."

"Elijah kidnapped Elena."

"I sure hope Elijah killed Elena, he'd be doing the world a favor."

"Why don't you like her?"

"Do you want examples or the entire list?"

"Give me five reasons."

"Well first, she's playing both you and Damon like puppets and you don't even know it. Second, her and her brother killed one of my best friends. Third, she's annoying and always finds a way to make things about her. Fourth, she makes my brothers risk their lives for her. Fifth, she's just a very dislikable person."

Stefan shook his head at me before pressing the call button and putting his iPhone against his ear as we arrived at the gazebo by the park which was vacant. Wait a minute, that isn't Stefan's phone. He has Katherine's phone!

Elijah: Katerina.

Stefan: Hello Elijah.

Elijah: Where's Katherine?
