*I'm about to break the hearts of Elijeline shippers everywhere with this chapter, but rest assured I fully intend to make that one canon for at least (probably more) than one scene in this story, as I myself ship Elijeline with a burning passion. Just thought I'd warn you before you all showed up to my doorstep with pitchforks. For you Klangeline shippers (if you're still out there), enjoy ;)*

Evangeline POV:
I arrived back at the compound in what had to be the worst mood I'd been in since I found out Elena was going to be a nuisance for all eternity, and just my luck there was a party going on. The rooms were crowded with vampires who I pushed and shoved through until I finally reached the staircase and spotted Marcel standing at the top talking to another vampire, a night walked I was unfamiliar with.
"Hey Marcel." I called as I rushed up the stair. "You didn't tell me there was going to be a party, otherwise I probably would have gotten a hotel."
Marcel looked over at me, excusing himself from the conversation he had been having. "Sorry about that, how about we get you a drink? You look like you could use it."
I really could use it after spending my night with the very person I had come here to avoid, snapping my brother's neck, and having Elijah ignore me. "I'd love a drink, but a real drink." I stated, glancing around the room in search of a human. "The kind that isn't alcoholic."
"I get you." Marcel smiled, how could he always be so happy about everything? He grabbed onto the shoulder of someone walking past and locked eyes with the human as soon as he turned around. "You're going to go with my friend here, and you're going to let her kill you without hesitation and without screaming."
The human went into a compulsion induced trance as Marcel turned back to me, still grinning. "Thank you." I smirked, grabbing onto the hand of the human before walking off towards a more secluded corner of the house.
I pushed the human against the wall and seconds later had my fangs in his neck, not even bother ping to be gentle or kind as I took all my frustration at the men in my life out on this innocent little human man. I really shouldn't say innocent, if he were innocent he probably wouldn't be at a vampire feeding party.
With every drop of blood that went down my throat I felt more excited and less frustrated, I now remembered why I fed off humans and could no longer understand why I would ever stop. Before I could actually finish the human off I was violently pulled away from him, stumbling back until I hit the wall behind me.
"What do you think you're doing?"
I almost choked as I looked over at the vampire who was now feeding the human his blood, wiping the blood away from my face as quickly as I could. "Elijah, what are you doing here? You haven't called me back."
"Go away and forget this happened." Elijah compelled the human who soon disappeared along with any hopes I had at forgetting my problems even for just a few minutes, Elijah turned on me with a look that lacked caring. "That's because I have nothing to say to you, I'm here looking for Klaus."
I rolled my eyes at the mention of Klaus Mikaelson. "You know he threatened you to get me to help him in one of his evil schemes, right? Then he said if he had feelings he would kill you, would you like to tell me what that was about?"
"I have no idea what goes on in my little brother's head, now if you'll excuse me."
"Elijah, please, just let me explain!"
"You don't need to do that, I understand perfectly."
"How is my not telling you about Marcel in any way worse than other things I've done? Or things you have done?"
