"In any case, that's why I hate to touch." I turned to look in the mirror and was satisfied with how I looked.

Then, out of fucking nowhere the door to the washroom burst open and Aden disappeared back into my space.

I turned on my heels and saw a tall male human I had never seen before. He had a long beard and wrinkles all over.

The hell? Who the fuck was this? I didn't know humans were coming.

"I knew I sensed a non-nymph! Who are you?! And why are you infiltrating the Nymphs?!"

I raised both of my hands. He continued.

"And you have green eyes!" He yelled. "Ha! What spell did you use?!"

Like the wind, Ira swept in.

"Would you stop?!" She yelled. "She's a friend!"

In behind Ira came Mei.

He turned toward Mei and got even more shocked.

"Y-you let in two intruders?!" He was so blown away that I couldn't help but laugh.

They all turned towards me.

I rarely laughed, but when I did, it wasn't a girly one. I started to laugh and I couldn't stop. This was all too much!

I grabbed my stomach as I heaved.

"I-I can't breath!" I yelled. I continued to laugh as I wiped away tears from my eyes. After a minute, I finally started to compose myself and stood up to see all the shocked faces. "What?" I asked as I wiped away one final tear.

"You glowed." Mei quickly went back to normal. She must be used to this by now.

"I glowed?!" I looked down at my arms and legs. "What am I? A fucking mood ring?"

"What's a mood ring?" Mei asked.

I blinked. Shit. This man doesn't know me. Uuuuu....guess I'll just partly tell the truth.

"A ring that changes color based on your mood," I replied as I walked closer.

"Oh? Where do you get one?" She asked.

I tapped my chin.

"I could make you one. Though I'd need to find thermochromic crystals." I replied.

Immediately the man stepped forward separating us.

"I can see it." His words made me raise a brow.

"The fuck you see? The air?" I asked as Mei moved from behind him and closer to me.

He grabbed Mei's arm as she walked past him.

My hands were already balled under my sleeves so this action made me ball them harder and I could feel the blood start to trickle down.

"Let go of me," Mei said as she shook her arm.

"Let her go," Ira said angrily.

"Can you two not see it?" He looked at them shocked.

"Old Man Pu, I have no idea what you are referring to," Ira said as she grabbed his arm that was holding on to Mei.

"She's not fully human." He knitted his brows as he looked towards me.

I started clapping.

"Look at you stating the obvious." I stopped slow clapping and paused. "I'm half Nymph/ human. Notice the eyes." I pointed at my green eyes. "You may be surprised to know that your not the smartest in the room at all times."

Immediately, I saw many emotions fill his face, but the one that stood out more than others was his disgust.

I lied right through my teeth, but I had prepared for this. Little did I know just how much most of any race disgusted half-bloods. Let alone the whole Empire of YeiRu.

I just didn't care. But little did I know, this one statement would be how one recognized me and how it would even save my life years from now.

The old man immediately left the room. I smirked.

Mei smiled as she looked at me. Then she walked forward and started to talk.

"He's not the only human here. There are two more. One his daughter and the other is a man who wears a mask. The man who wears a mask is very quiet and never speaks, but he seems to be very high level. Apparently, the man was the only one invited, but the old man is a doctor and he is apparently treating him."

I nodded.

"Ira, do you know how he was able to tell I wasn't human?" I asked.

"It's been said humans of high-Rank call gain a special power. They can tell if a human is a human or not by their Energy. The power itself without any training can only do what that man just did, but if you know how to train it. You can see what any race someone is just by activating it."

My eyes grew large.

"That's a cheat code." My response brought about confused looks from Ira and Mei but I just started walking forward. "Oh, wait." I turned toward Ira. "Do you mind if I claim to be half Nymph?"

"It personally doesn't matter to me. You're family to me, but the other Nymphs will not appreciate it because of the sigma against half-bloods." Ira responded.

"Why do races digest mixed-bloods?" I asked.

"To be completely honest. Every race has its own reasons, but it all pretty much revolves around an individual choosing to be with another race. The act in itself is viewed disgusting by most races."

I nodded as we walked down the hallway.

"I understand your point, but I really don't understand why it involves other people. Like, this act doesn't hurt anyone, so I say let them do what the fuck they want." I said as I looked out a window as we passed it.

Expect my feet paused as I looked out. What the fuck?

It's the golden tree! Expect, it was white now! I knew it was the golden tree because of its familiar energy. My mouth gaped as I saw a tree step over Nymphs and close in on the palace.

I saw Nymphs getting ready to shoot the tree with Energy. I immediately jumped out of the window and ran forward yelling.

"Don't!" I yelled as I bolted toward it.

It seemed to fill the hostility in the air and cowered in fear. I felt sorry for the tree with feelings and walked slowly up to it.
