Chapter - 132 - Rank 10

The scene changed once more.

But this time I heard it before it showed itself.

Crying, screaming.

I remember this.

A woman was dead on the sidewalk after a man stabbed her for her money. The girl was no older than 7. I called the police and it turned out the girl had no family. All were either dead or didn't want her.

So, I took her in.

If I recall, she would have been only 15 when I died in my previous life. Though, I had given her all of the money, the best education, and a Nanny who cared for her.

How old was I when I died? I closed my eyes for a moment. Seems I've forgotten. I opened them back up to see a transparent woman standing in front of me. The thing was, she looked just like me.

"You felt nothing looking at these scenes." She said.

"I let go of the past," I said. "That world...I'm no longer a part of it. I accepted death a long time ago."

The figure smiled.

"Cultivate." She said. "Time works differently here." She said as she floated away.

"What?" I asked confused.

She turned to me.

"I won't let you out until you reach Rank 10. After all, you've only gotten by, by sheer luck so far. At your current Rank, the Human God and his army would crush you immediately."

I remembered just a few people I met once in Master's Office.

"How long will I be in here?" I asked.

"However long it takes. Though, beware time doesn't completely stop it here. Who knows, 3 months may have already passed on Pangea."

My eyes grew. I wanted to scream but the figure completely disappeared.

Fuck.

I dropped down and started to breathe slowly. It was easy to enter the state I needed to be in this world. I closed my eyes and began. No reason to keep thinking about something I can't control.

My mind blanked, and I thought about circulating the power within me.

It was definitely faster now that I was Goddess and also didn't have the weight of the Air Element. Still, I felt it could be faster.

So I took out the fruit I never ate and started to chow down.

I could feel the power surge throughout my body.

And with time, I reached Rank 7. Once I reached it, I decided to take a break and try out my powers.

Water was definitely stronger. It seemed like this pace couldn't be broken by anything I threw at it. So I went wild. I used all of my energy until I was completely worn out and started to cultivate again. Once I reached Rank 7 Level 5, I hit a wall.

"Fight." I heard around me.

I got up and saw stone golems all around me. I smirked and started going wild. Golem after Golem fell at my feet. My Level started to rise.

I kept at this until I was so exhausted I couldn't move. Then, I would cultivate. I kept up this cycle of destroying golems and cultivating for a very long time. By the time I reached Rank 9 Level 9. It felt like I had been in this space for years. I seriously thought I had physically aged.

"Now child, this is the most difficult. To become a pure body, you must get rid of every single speck of evil Energy in you. Miss even a little and you will die in the process. I will not be able to save you or help you."

"So it doesn't matter that I'm a Haven?" I asked.

"This is your transition into a sort of Divine being. So yes, your race's immortality means nothing here." She said.

I sighed as I closed my eyes.

Okay, then let's start from the deepest part of me and work my way out.

Slowly, I worked threw out my body. I could feel fluids coming out of my body as I worked through my body.

Time seemed to pass so slowly during this process. Time and time again I wanted to stop. I wanted to open my eyes and scream out to leave. It was such a slow process and I had no idea what was going on on the outside.

Still, I knew she wouldn't let me leave.

So, I sucked it up and kept going, and by the end. At the exact moment, all evil Energy was removed I felt intense pain shoot threw every single Meridian in my body.

I started to scream bloody murder and I held on. The pain was so much more excruciating than when I let go of the wind energy.

Then, all at once, warmth enveloped me.

I felt it. Rank 10. I had a Pure Body.

At this point, there was no more need to cultivate. I was on a whole new level.

I stood up and released my powers.

"You are complete. The only way to get stronger from this point on is to learn new and better techniques." The woman's voice paused. "Remember, you're strong enough to level mountains. Misuse your power and someone will be born to destroy you."

My eyes grew.

Is that what I was? Free will? I suppose I did have a choice...I could just walk away and let him destroy everything.

I smiled to myself. No, the Creator chose correctly. I would never allow this world to be destroyed if I could stop it.

"How long have I been in this space?" I asked.

"From mortals stand point? About 53 years."

My eyes grew. It really took me that long to reach a pure body?

"Most of the time was spent cultivating. Especially Rank 8 and up. Usually, mortals can't reach Rank 10 even I'd they lived to be 500. Though, with you...well you have someone looking out for you. Now go."

I appeared back in the forest. Expect, it wasn't as dense.
