It was early evening; the time where the sun has almost fully dipped beneath your view of the horizon and the stars are appearing in the inky canvas that was the cloudless sky. You and Rhys were standing shoulder-to-shoulder in the kitchen, washing dishes from dinner together. The other Daemos and Ava weren't in the main room of the apartment, leaving the two of you in a quiet bliss where you could enjoy each other's company without interruption. You let out a contented sigh as your head gently falls onto Rhys' shoulder, and his head rests atop yours shortly after.

Moments like these were your favorites... Rhys could take any activity, any chore and make it perfect just by being there. No one else you had ever met in your life had a charming sense about them that was comparable to Rhys. Your heart melted a little more for him every time he spoke and you'd yearn to be at his side for an eternity. And you knew so well by now that he had the same infatuation with you.

In the peaceful silence, the melody of a song lingered on the tip of your tongue, gradually singing in your mind until it came out through your lips in a soft, steady hum. It was soft and delicate as is, but the way it sounded in your voice was breathtaking.

Rhys recognized the tune; you seemed to listen to it for hours at a time, never growing weary of its sound. He couldn't blame you, though... it was quite a lovely song, especially now that he could associate it with his sweetheart. The low, tenor sound of his voice joined yours, creating an enchanting harmony.

Your mind finds the words to the song while Rhys hums in the background. The words roll off your tongue smoothly and you look over at Rhys. He's completely focused on the dishes, but you decide that you can both take a break. As your starting the chorus of the song, you dry your hands and push away from the counter. You happily twirl around Rhys until your behind him, chest pressed against his back. Your arms wrap around his torso, slipping down to slide into the pockets of his jeans. You rest your chin on his shoulder singing the last part of the chorus into his ear.

"(Y/n)..." Rhys sighs, his face flushing a vibrant red hue. You only giggle in response, nuzzling his neck and running your hands up his sides. He shivers at your touch, but you quickly put a stop to that as your hands found his wrists under the water.

        "Dance with me...?"

A small smile formed on Rhys' lips and he turned around to face you after quickly drying her hands. He was still in your arms, but now you two stood face to face. You leaned up and pecked his lips before leading him out of the kitchen.

You started singing the second verse of your song and Rhys was happy to join you. Your voices meshed together seamlessly as your feet kept the tempo. 123, 123, 123, 123...

One of his hands rested on your hip while the other hand intertwined with yours. Your other hand was on his shoulder and your thumb would loving graze over his collarbone every now and again. Your eyes stayed locked on his as he gracefully led you in a waltz around the living room. Smiles never left your lips and the lively, loving feeling in your hearts made you both feel like you were flying.

Suddenly, he pulled away from you, but the hand locked with your own remained. It rose high above your head as he twirled you and you let yourself fall back into his arms. His arms wrapped around your waist and he leaned over to press his face against your neck. "I love you, my dearest..." He whispered against your skin, cradling your body in his arms like you were the most precious thing he had.

"I love you too, Snowflake~" You cooed back to him, as he lifted you back to your feet. You turned to face him again, leaning against him more than before. You both looked to the window you now stood beside, watching the remainder of the daylight fade and watching the stars come out and sparkle over the city.

Your song has been reduced to a background noise playing in your heads as you swayed back and forth. He rubbed circles on your back and you looked up at him, happily. Moments like these were always perfect... and you could tell things would only get better from here...
