Ava had been getting sick of dealing with the Daemos in her home, so she decided to drag them all down to the local arcade, desperately hoping that they would leave her alone, even just for a few minutes. Noi was immediately entranced by all of the colors and lights coming from the machines around him, but as he began to explore the area more, something, or rather someone, caught his eye above everything else.

(Y/n) was a regular at the arcade, not for any real reason besides they were bored and the arcade held a lot a fun memories for them. It's not like they were working on most days anyways, so now they had all the time in the world to try and beat their high score on their all-time favorite, (f/c).

And today, they were so, so very close to reaching their goal when-

"What are you doing?" They jumped at the sudden voice, and that little distraction cost them their winning game. Needless to say, they were pissed.

"Well, I was winning that game, until you distracted me!" They spat, angrily. The ginger-haired male in front of them looked down at his feet, sadly.

        "S-Sorry..."

(Y/n) damn-near felt their heart shatter at the sight. They sighed, rubbing the back of their neck. "N-No, no, it's okay. It's just a game. I'm sorry, uh..." They paused, realizing that they didn't recognize the boy as another regular. "Um, what's your name?"

The boy perked up, letting out a cute giggle. "Oh! I'm Noi!" Then he gave them a heart-melting smile.

        "I'm (Y/n). It's nice to meet you."

        Noi beamed. "You too!"

A moment of awkward silence passed between the two strangers, before the ginger spoke again. "C-Could you teach me how to do that?"

(Y/n) tilted their head at the question. "Do what?"

"How to play that game!" He exclaimed, excitedly.

"You... You've never played (f/c) before?" He only shook his head in response. "Come here, then." They gestured for him to stand closer, which of course made the boy's face burn with a bright red tint. Regardless, he moved to stand by them. (Y/n) moved slightly out of his way and took his hands, placing them over the game's controls.

They spent a few minutes explaining the controls to Noi, their hands hovering just over his. Every once in awhile, to demonstrate his understanding, Noi would nod or say, "Got it!" or sometimes, even complement (Y/n) on their skills.

And even as Noi finally got the hang of it, (Y/n) still refused to move their hands... mostly because they were just now realizing the close proximity between the two of them and were becoming increasingly more flustered. It wasn't like they had never been close to someone else before, they did HAVE friends. But... none of those friends gave them the unfamiliar feeling of butterflies swarming in their stomach. Maybe it was just because they didn't know each other... or maybe it was because he was really cute...

Eventually, they managed to step away and watch their student play the game. In the time, he tried to make conversation with (Y/n), discussing anything and everything that came to mind, secretly hoping that they wouldn't leave. They talked and joked as if they had known each other forever, like old friends. Neither of them could remember the last time they had such a natural conversation with someone else, not that Noi would have had much time to do that back on Daemos...

A couple of hours later, the two of them had played several other games, still joking around with each other. And even though (Y/n) won almost every game they played, Noi still couldn't seem to stop smiling.

        "You're so cool, (Y/n)!"

Another thing Noi said that costed them the win. He managed to swoop in and take the victory while they were left a flustered mess.

        "Y-You did that on purpose!"

        "Did what?"

Oh God, how was he so innocent and cute?

Their time with each other felt like it would never end, and they were both perfectly satisfied letting it go on like that. But Ava was on her way, after gathering all of the other Daemos.

"Noi? Where have you been? I've been looking-" She cut herself when she saw him standing by the side of another person, both of them smiling, happily. "Hey, Noi?"

He whirled around to look at her. "Oh! Hi, Ava!"

        "We have to get going."

Noi's shoulders visibly slumped at that. "A-Already?" He looked over at (Y/n), who was now frowning as well.

"Yeah, sorry." Ava said, her heart aching from the sad look on the cinnamon roll's face.

"O-Okay.... Bye, (Y/n)." He sounded like a child being dragged out of a birthday party.

(Y/n) smiled. "Don't look so sad, you can always come back. I'm hangout here a lot, so I'm sure you'll find me.

Noi's eyes lit up as he turned back to Ava. "Can we come back again, Ava?"

Ava chuckled under her breath and nodded, looking at the happy two. "Yeah, we can."
