"Asch!" You yelled, storming through the wall after your boyfriend. You had to know these arguments would come up when you started dating a jealous type. You just weren't expecting to deal with it so soon. "Don't just walk away!"

He turned back towards you, snarling. "I don't like the way that guy looks at you! Why do you insist on spending so much time with him!"

You rolled your eyes. "He's a childhood friend, Asch! I love you, but I'm not giving him up."

Asch avoided your gaze, still growling.

"I don't want to fight, Asch, I really don't. But... sometimes you just make things so difficult!"

"You think that I'm being difficult?!" He spat back, taking another step towards you. "Why don't you spend any of your time with me? From how you and Princess Ava explained it, humans supposedly spend a lot of time with their 'boyfriends.'"

"I have a life outside of you, Asch, I have a job and I have friends! I can't give up those things to be with you nonstop, that just isn't how life works!" You argued back. "Why can't you just be happy that I have a stable life and that I'm literally the only one in this house who's providing?!"

Asch took another step towards you, seeing red. "Make an effort to be with me!"

"We live in the same house, Asch, we sleep in the same damn bed! I don't know what else you want from me!"

He took another step. With every line you said, every time you spat out his name like it was poison in your mouth, made his anger burn stronger. And it didn't help at all that he absolutely despised the idea of you being angry with him. "(Y/n)-!"

You cut him off, your face going red with rage. "Just because you're a prince doesn't mean you can control my life, Asch!"

"Do not say my name like that!" He raised his hand to you. You winced, turning your head away and closing your eyes, awaiting the impact. But it never came.

Your eyes opened again to find Asch staring blankly at his own hand. You couldn't read his expression, but he looked up to you with a pained look in his eyes. His other arm grabbed your wrist and you were pulled into his arms. You didn't hug back at first, causing your boyfriend to almost wince at the empty feeling it left him with.

"I don't want to fight..." He whispered, hugging you close.

        "I don't either. I'm sorry..."

He shook his head, somehow managing to hug you tighter to him. "Don't apologize."

        "But-"

"Don't." He urged, resting his chin on top of your head. "You know more of E-urth than I do, I should just listen to you and trust it."

You bit your lip, words completely evading you. All you could think about was how great it felt to be in his arms again.

"I almost hit you.... I can't believe I almost hurt you!" He raised his voice slightly. "My father raised me to be violent but, hurting you..." He pulled out of the hug, his hands lingering on you shoulders. His coal-black eyes watered. "What would I do if I ever lost you...?"

Tears flooded your own (e/c) eyes. You hands slipped passed his arms to cup his face and you drew him into a soft, tender kiss. His arms snaked back around you, holding you against him again. A few of your tears spilled over when you wrapped your arms around his neck.

The kiss broke a minute later, both of you subtly panting for air. Your body stayed close to his, basking in his comforting warmth.

"You know that I'd never try to hurt you... right?" He questioned, softly.

        You nodded. "Yeah."

A hand reached up to comb through your silky (h/c) hair. "And that I will always protect you?"

        "Mmhmm..."

"And I love you, (Y/n). So much..."

It was weird to hear him say your name, but you welcomed the change. That's how you knew he was being sincere. "I love you too, Asch."

His shoulders settled at the sound of his name leaving your lips with a loving tone. He was forgiven. And he was so relieved at that.

He lifted you up in his arms, holding you above him, your faces just barely apart. He leaned up to close that gap between your lips, signifying the happy end to your fight...
