One morning, Ava woke up before 11:00 A.M. The Daemos, of course were all shocked by this, but she had her reasons. Today, her significant other had taken a day off from their busy work schedule so that they could go out and spend the day together.
Ava was more than happy to be able to get out of the house for awhile, especially since Leif and Asch had been especially hectic as of late. Rhys would be left in charge, so she trusted that nothing would go wrong back at home...
But something went wrong. There was an intense rainstorm outside of the house that had been going on from the night before. The streets were flooded with water, making the couple's plans nearly impossible. So Ava, having seen the water streets multiple floors below her from her window, dragged herself back to bed to sulk.
A few minutes into said sulking, her phone rang. Sure enough, it was (Y/n) calling, so she picked it up quickly.
"Hey..." She greeted them, quietly, her voice audibly sad.
"Aww, no! Don't sound so dejected, babe" (Y/n) consoled her. "There will always be other days."
Ava sighed. "I know, I know. I was just... really looking forward to this and going out and seeing you and... not seeing the Daemos." She had mumbled that last part, provoking a short laugh from (Y/n). "Can't I just, like... I dunno? Swim to you?"
"Ava," (Y/n) began, softly. "You can't swim, lovey."
"Well, then I'll just bring floaties. Or, better yet, use one of the boys as a life raft!" She joked.
(Y/n) giggled at their adorable girlfriend, running a hand through their hair. They glanced out window at the still pouring rain.
"I'll be waiting halfway in a boat." They replied.
"You better!" Ava giggled with them, lying back on her bed. "I miss you..." She hummed, closing her eyes.
"I miss you too, but we'll see each other another day. Until then we have the phone..." (Y/n) stated, sitting down on the sofa in their own living room.
"Don't you ever get tired of just hearing my voice, though?"
"I could never."
Ava smiled, rolling to her side. The two of them spoke for hours through the remainder of the day. And it was perfect.
