        A groan escaped your lips as you helplessly fanned yourself. It was currently the hottest day of summer by far, and you were perfectly content with spending it on your couch, with all the windows in the apartment open wide. As expected, knowing your luck, your AC was on the fritz, so your normally hot apartment was even hotter.

        You eyes flickered closed, feeling like you just may pass out from overheating before the day ended. That is, until you felt something calming and cold rest over your forehead. You released a soft sigh at the sensation, your eyes opening to see your boyfriend, Rhys, standing beside you, the back of his hand pressed against your head.

        "Are you all right, Love?"

        You stayed silent for a minute, contemplating whether or not you wanted to keep him with you for awhile, using his magic to cool you down. Was it worth him running out of magic? He was fairly accustomed to functioning as a human on Earth, but what if he'd need it later...

        While you had been lost in thought, Rhys scooped you off of the couch, instead laying your body on top of his. His arms snaked around you, his ice magic cooling you down, significantly.

        Your face flushed as you tried to counter his actions through your stuttering. "Y-You don't have to do this..."

        "I don't, but I'd hate to watch you suffer in silence, my love." His hands gently stroked your cheek and you unintentionally lean into his touch.

        But your eyes remained laced with concern as you stared back at him. "But... your magic-"

        You were cut off when he let out a soft laugh, a sweet sound that had you blushing even redder. "While I appreciate your thoughtfulness, (Y/n), I hope you're aware of my intentions to stare here with you."

        Your jaw dropped slightly, hardly believing what you had heard. "You... Y-You really wanna stay with me?"

        "Of course, Love." He replied, smiling and pulling you so that your faces were closer in proximity. "I'd love nothing more than to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. I find it sad that I wasn't able to meet you sooner."

        You buried your face against his chest, trying to hide your flustered face and fit of giggles. "Y-You're really too cute, y'know that?" You rested your chin on his chest, nuzzling your noses together, effectively getting him to blush as well from your Eskimo kiss. "My snowflake~!"

        Rhys laughed with you, hugging your body closer to his own and spreading the cool feeling of his skin and magic around you. You pressed a quick, soft kiss to his lips before nuzzling back into his chest and dozing off. However, you didn't go under without hearing his final words to you. "Have sweet dreams, (Y/n). I love you..."
