Rhys' PoV

         "I'm not quite sure what's happening, but I'm positive that I wasn't feeling this way when we arrived on E-urth." I was currently discussing a personal matter with Princess Ava regarding a recent change in my behavior.

        "Can you describe the feeling?"

        "It's... rather difficult to explain. I feel... happier, I suppose. And my face feels warmer around them as well. A-And I can't form sentences as well as I'd normally be able to." Princess Ava only nodded, seemingly taking note of what I said. "Princess Ava, does (Y/n) have powers as well? Is it possible that they casted a spell on me?"

        She laughed and shook her head. "None that I'm aware of, no. However, I think I know what's wrong with you, Rhys."

        "What is it?"

        "I think you may be in love with (Y/n)."

        I felt my face burn at those words. "I-Impossible. On Daemos, we have no time for 'love'-" Ava held up a hand, telling me to stop.

        "You're not on Daemos, are you Rhys?"

        I wanted to argue, but no words would come. Could it be possible that she's right? Do I truly love (Y/n)? "M... Maybe you're right..."

        "Right about what?" Their voice seemed to chime in out of nowhere. They were standing in the kitchen, just a few feet away.

        "(Y-Y/n)? What are you doing here?" They only giggled at my flustered response.

        "I live here too, Rhys. I just got back from grocery shopping. I bought some more ice cream."

        I beamed. "Thank you, (Y/n)."

        "Of course, Rhys, anytime. Just... don't eat it so quickly this time, okay?" I nodded to them and they smiled and retreated to their bedroom.

        "Why didn't you say anything?" Princess Ava questioned me.

        "I-I wanted to, I just..." I stared down at the table. "I couldn't do it."

        Princess Ava rested her head in her hand and hummed quietly before smiling. "I think I have a plan."

        Later that night, Princess Ava took my fellow Daemos out to eat at a res-tar-aunt, leaving me alone with (Y/n). I was almost finished coo-king (f/f) when I heard (Y/n) exit their room.

        "I was wondering what smelled so good. I didn't realize you were still home, Rhys."

        "That's quite alright, (Y/n)."

        They shook their head. "No, it's not. You should've told me, I would've kept you company." They leaned on the counter beside me. "I like talking to you."

        I went silent for a moment before realizing that this may be the best time to tell them. "I like you, (Y/n)."

        "Awww, I like you too, Rhys!" That... didn't sound quite right.

        "I don't think you understood." I stopped looking at the dish for a moment, turning my head to face them. "I-I'm in love with you, (Y/n)."

        They giggled. "I know what you meant, Rhys." They moves closer to me, linking one of their arms with mine. They leaned over and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek, before resting their head on my shoulder. "I love you too."
