"Where are we, (Y/n)?" The ginger-haired Daemos questions you, scanning the unfamiliar sights outside of your car. As you move to stand closer to him, you can see reflections of the rippling ocean waves under the starry night sky in his tangerine orbs. His pale face is written with wonder, before he turns back to you with an expectant look in his eyes.

"This is a beach, Noi." You start, the corners of your lips involuntarily quirking up into a smile at the sight of his excitement. "Today, humans are coming here for a- well, I'm gonna keep that part a surprise. I promise you'll love it, though!"

Noi beams, taking your hand. "Okay! I trust you, (Y/n)!" And, oh, did that make your heart melt...

You took Noi to a beach just out of the city to share the experience of watching the annual fireworks show with him, as you had already been watching since you were young. You also had the underlying intention to confess to him, but... that part was for later.

You quickly grab a beach towel from the trunk of your car before rejoining hands with Noi and leading him to an open spot on the beach. The beach is already crowded with couples and families, all focused on the dark sky with eager anticipation.

You cross your legs and lower yourself to the ground, patting the towel beside you, summoning the cute Daemos to your side.

You spend a few minutes in silence before you see something shoot up into the air and burst into a glittering, golden, circular shape on the black canvas of the night. Noi's body tenses up beside you at the loud noise, but you wrap you arm around one of his, linking your arms.

"I know the sound is loud and I'm so sorry for not warning you ahead of time, but I promise that you're perfectly safe." You say, your quiet voice soothing Noi. He only nods, leaning into your touch, putting his faith in what you say. "Just focus on the colors, okay?"

His eyes return to the inky sky, watching as more sparkling colors pop out in the sky, disappearing after a few seconds and allowing room for more. The sound was still terrifying to the Daemos, but the display of colors was undeniably beautiful and you were at his side, comfortingly holding onto his arm. So he felt oddly... at peace.

Noi glances around the beach, eying other couples who're sitting closer together, wondering if he should be doing that with you. He hesitantly slides his arm away from yours, wrapping it around your shoulders instead, and hugging you against his chest. You don't seem to mind, only snuggling into his body heat, keeping your eyes on the sky.

As the show comes to a close and people begin to leave the beach, you and Noi remain, still snuggled close. "Why are we staying?" He questions, looking down at your face.

"Because it's peaceful here." You state, nonchalantly. Noi knows where you're coming from, the others cause quite the commotion at home. "I don't really want to leave just yet either. Being with you is really nice."

The Daemos bites his lip, pulling away from you and returning to his feet. He offers you a hand up, which you curiously take. Once you're on your feet, he takes your other hand in his, his reddening face still surprisingly visible in the dark.

"(Y-Y/n)..." He begins, not making direct eye contact with you. "I-I've been drawn to you ever since I met you a-and... it'd be an honor if you allowed me to... c-court you?" His voice is audibly questioning himself, as he stutters out his confession. Then he closes his eyes, almost wincing, as he waits for you response.

You smile, despite the blush burning your face. He confessed to you. Considering your original plan, you didn't see a reason that this would backfire.

You slip one of your hands out of his grip, raising it to cup his cheek. You lean up, pressing a soft, sweet kiss to his lips. He almost jumps at the gesture, eyes widening, too shocked to kiss back.

You pull away, examining his flustered, slightly agape expression and bite your lip, anxiously. "I-I'm sorry, was that too much?"

When he finally pulls himself together just seconds later, his hands find your waist and he happily lifts you into the air, drawing a shocked squeal from your lips. He twirls you around, before he sets you back on the beach towel, leaning in so that his forehead is against yours. He has the biggest, most heartwarming smile present on his face, and it almost makes you want to cry.

He's just too sweet... and now he's all mine...

"I love you, (Y/n)..." His voice is low and shy, as he gazes at you with all the love and affection in the world.

Your arms wrap around his neck, one of them moving up into his gingery curls. "I love you too!"

And with those final words, you pull him down into another tender kiss, just as one final, straggling firework bursts over the water.
