       Noi was head over heels the moment he met (Y/n). They displayed themself as strong and competent, capable of winning a debate with Rhys, holding a conversation with Pierce, pacifying the irritable Prince Asch, and defeating Leif in a spar. Noi would've thought those things were impossible up until he met (Y/n). But they turned out to be full of surprises.

        It was later revealed to the knights by Lady Grandma that (Y/n) was Daemos royalty, as well as one of few scholars. They were the only heir to their family's kingdom, arranged to be married to the eldest child of an enemy empire, and they absolutely despised it. They called upon the former queen, who had owed their family a favor after receiving their assistance in war. So Lady Grandma agreed to help them escape their drab life, where excitement was lacking, even though the way they lived was supposed to be up to them.

        The group traveled to Earth, allowing Noi to acquaint himself with the other royal, constantly praising them for their accomplishments and asking for their assistance with his training. Initially, (Y/n) denied him, seeing as he was not their guard, therefore not their problem. But after witnessing how Noi was treated, like the weakest link despite his potential, they changed their mind.

        It didn't take long for their unlikely alliance to blossom into a friendship, a reliance. And soon, romantic feelings came into fruition as well. Noi, too shy to speak his mind, attempted to hide his rather obvious feelings for (Y/n). He allowed himself to be mocked by Leif and Asch, for falling in love and for even imagining that someone like (Y/n) would ever reciprocate.

        Little did they know, however, that (Y/n) did return Noi's feelings wholeheartedly and wished to tell him. He brought an exhilaration into their life that they had never experienced as a royal, locked away in their palace. He brought them happiness, something they had longed to feel all their life. And now that they had found all they ever wanted in Noi, they feared returning home to let the fate of an arranged marriage befall them...

        Late one night, Noi lay awake in bed, his mind alert with intrusive thoughts, when he heard a quiet knock at his chamber door. When he opened it, he found (Y/n) standing there.

         "(Y-Y/n)...!" He took a step back in shock.

        "My apologies for disturbing you this late." (Y/n), despite being royalty themself, bowed to the ginger-haired knight. "I just... need to address something and I'd prefer to do it now rather than later."

        Noi nodded, stepping aside to let them in and closing the door behind them. "Wh-What is it?"

        (Y/n) took a seat on his bed, gesturing for him to sit adjacent to them. "Do you care about love, Noi?"

        Noi's eyes widened. "Daemos aren't supposed to-"

        "I'm well aware." The royal interrupted him. "I'm asking if you, specifically, care?"

        Noi was hesitant in his answer, barely able to look (Y/n) in the eye, afraid that he'd get lost in their deep, (e/c) pools. "I-I... yes, I do care..." He looked down, seemingly ashamed.

        (Y/n) took one of his hands in theirs. "I'm glad you do." They replied, softly. "I have started to believe in love as well. Ever since I met you, that is."

        "M-Me?!" Noi questioned, a scarlet blush rising his cheeks.

        (Y/n) giggled, a sweet sound that Noi could listen to on repeat. "Yes, you!" They exclaimed, lifting their hands to cup his cheeks. "I enjoy the time I spend with you and I'd like to be able to call you mine."

        Noi's face grew impossibly redder as he pulled his face out of their hands. "B-But I'm weak, I'm the lowest ranking knight... Asch and Leif say so all the time."

        (Y/n) reached out, taking one of Noi's hands. "Leif and Prince Asch aren't exactly known for their intelligence." They stated, calmly. "I see you as strong because you fight through adversity. They say you are weak, but you are dedicated to proving them otherwise. There's so much about you that's worth loving, Noi."

        (Y/n)'s words almost made him want to cry. He had never heard some speak so kindly of him, and with such genuineness, no less. He quickly leaned in, pecking their lips, before pulling away, completely flustered.

        The royal chuckled, cupping his cheek once more, drawing him in for another caress and lying him down on his bed. "Let's stay on Earth, Noi. Together."

        Noi smiled up at (Y/n). "It'd be my pleasure, (Y/n)!"
