Daffodils symbolize new beginnings. If you get why I put that, you are amazing. If you don't, that's fine, you'll get there.

Ivy hummed as she looked outside her room. The daffodils on the windowsill that she created were still soft to the touch as she caressed the petals and inhaled the scent she loved. She was told that daffodils symbolized new beginnings and so she grew them in hopes that their symbolism would come to life.

Ivy sat down at her desk and started to work on her new project. She glanced over at her tarot deck. It had been a while since she played. Maybe she'd try something this afternoon. A rap at her door made her interested. Ivy decided to stand and see who it was. Upon opening it, her face fell, but she fixed a smile. "Elliot, how are you?"

Elliot smiled warmly at the trans female. "Sup bro. Your sis told me that she was worried about you being home alone, so I decided that we could get to know each other."

"What do you wish to know?" Ivy asked coldly upon hearing the nickname. Elliot quickly noticed the female's change in tone and looked for something to grab her attention. His eyes landed on the tarot deck. Perfect.
"You do tarot readings?" Elliot asked. Ivy turned to where the deck lay and Ivy couldn't help the smile that littered her features.
"Mhm. Been a couple years though so I'm a little rusty." Ivy hummed.

Elliot smiled at Ivy and succeeded in getting to know about all her readings. There were some things Ivy wished to hide though. Elliot then tried to run his fingers through her hair, only to find it tangled. His features were of shock. "Ivy, when is the last time you brushed this thick mess of hair?"

Ivy shrugged. "Four days ago?"

"Four days ago!? Ivy!"

"Don't lecture me!"

"I'm a hair stylist Ivy. It is my job to criticize your hair. May I groom your hair and cut it just a tad?"

"Why not? Go ahead."

Elliot then dragged Ivy to the bathroom and sat her down. There was a towel wrapped around her shoulders and covering her back. The first thing he did was brush the tangled knots. Had to make sure it was just right. He then got her hair wet while put shampoo and conditioner in. He then used a brush and comb after rinsing the shampoo and conditioner out. Then, the real work began.

Elliot cut her hair to the shoulder blade. He made sure it was all even. He had allowed Ivy to wash her bang by grabbing the water filled with shampoo and conditioner particles and layering it on. She then dried out her bang and brushed it before using the comb. She then turned so her face was in Elliot's view. Elliot made sure to cut her bang just right so he and others didn't glimpse what Ivy wanted to hide. Elliot then allowed her to put her hair up and give it one final brush and comb. Then that was it. They were finished.

Ivy still didn't trust Elliot, but she had to admit that he was good at what he did. He also respected Ivy's privacy and didn't ask her about family besides Maria and her mother. He and Ava were getting to know each other on their own. So far, so good. Now to see if that continued. There was a lot to cover with him.

Elliot glanced at Ivy's phone and saw that the lock screen showed her and a young man watching the waves. The man had silvery white hair with blue-gold eyes. He seemed kind of attractive. "Hey Ivy. Is the guy on your lock screen your best bud?"

Ivy walked over and glanced at it. A chuckle escaped her lips. "Thank you for not assuming he was my boyfriend. I would have hit you if you said that. He wasn't my best bud, per say, but he and I were kind of close after I got him out of a tight spot."

"Ah, so you and him were buds for the sake of him paying you back?"

"Possibly. I did save his bloody arse."

"Yes. You saved his bloody arse."

Both of them chuckled a bit before Ivy glanced down at her watch. "Bloody hell! I need to run! Maria will kill me if I'm late to pick her up!"

Ivy rushed out and Elliot chuckled. That man must've been quite nice if he earned her trust. Elliot wondered if they both missed each other.

-Timeskip, Dinner-

"You look like a zombie Ava."

"Screw you Ivy."

Elliot turned to Maria who calmly ate her grilled cheese. "Maria, is this normal?"

Maria swallowed her food before turning to him. "Yes, it very much so is. Both of them love each other, but they also like to mess with each other."

"That's sweet. Sisterly love."

"Mhm."

"By the way, how did you react upon finding out they were your half-sisters? You guys seem close, but what was your first reaction?"

"Surprise, obviously. I was also shocked and happy that I had sane family members for once."

Ava let out a bark of laughter. "Kid, I think that Ivy is about ready to strangle someone if she gets another migraine."

The rest also joined with the laughter. What a fun dinner.

-After Dinner-

Ivy was exhausted upon entering her room. Her eyes landed upon an envelope on her desk.

'Who put this on my desk?' Ivy wondered as she opened it carefully and took out the slip of paper. She hummed, deciding to read it mentally.

'Congratulations!

Ivy felt like a bullet had hit her. However, she knew she had to sign it. She picked up a quill and wrote down her name and birthdate.
