Diavolo was looking over something. "... Okay then, look into that for me, Barbatos."

Barbatos nodded to the man he served. "Yes, My Lord."

"Depending on how things turn out, it's possible we'll have the answers to our questions soon enough."

There was a knock. In the shadows, two pairs of abyss black eyes and one pair of moonlit silver eyes watched the two figures (if you can guess who they are in the comments, I will give you a thumbs-up or thumbs down). Barbatos hummed. "Well, it would seem they've arrived."

Diavolo nodded. "Yes, and even earlier than we thought."

The door opened to reveal the brothers and the Autumns trio. Ivy kept her face monotone. Lucifer eyed Diavolo. "Diavolo, I want to talk to you."

"Well hello, Lucifer. And yes, I assumed as much when I saw you at the door."

Barbatos gave him a quizzical look. "Lucifer, if I'm not mistaken, aren't you supposed to be under house arrest?"

Mammon rolled his eyes. "Ugh, just listen to you. You think you're real cute with that 'if I'm not mistaken' stuff, don't ya? How about you come out and say what you mean!"

Avalon was about to pull a Yushiro before her twin sister bopped her on the head. Avalon winced in pain. Lucifer eyed his younger brother. "Mammon, enough. I came here of my own free will. No one forced me. And I'll accept whatever punishment is due. But there's something else we need to take care of first."

Barbatos hummed. "What do we have here? Has the entire family come along today?"

Satan smiled at him. "Well, what do you expect? We are family, after all."

Asmo grinned. "And we're about to witness Lucifer in all his glory, right? I mean, it's not like anyone had to twist my arm to get me to come out and see this. I would've come either way!"

Levi decided to chime in. "And I made sure to set my DVR to record the full Ruri-chan series marathon that's running today! So if you were worried, don't be!"

Barbatos eyed the group. "So, you've all come along as a moving show of support and brotherly love, then? Hmm... but it would appear that three among your number neither qualifies as a relative nor a demon."

Beel nodded before deciding to pipe up. "That's right. Ivy, Avalon, and Maria aren't demons, nor are we related to them... but that doesn't mean we can't be on the same side. Isn't that right, Ivy, Avalon, Maria?"

Ivy nodded with a small smile. "You bet it is."

The other two clung to her side and nodded. "Indeed."

Beel smiled at them. "Thank you."

Diavolo kept up his trademark smile. "... I see. Well you three, you may be humans, but it would seem you've found a home for yourself here in the Devildom. I have to say, I find that comforting. Now then, Lucifer, how about we hear what you have to say."

Lucifer inhaled deeply and exhaled before deciding to speak. "... Diavolo, never before have I opposed you in any matter until now. Give me back my brother... give me back Belphegor."

Diavolo went silent for a while. Avalon reached for her chancla, which was on her foot. Ivy pulled her straight back. "Turn the violence switch to off."

"Please."

Diavolo hummed. "... Truth be told, I knew. I knew you were hiding Belphegor, and I knew why. Your loyalty to me forced you to deceive your brothers, and I knew that was a source of guilt. I saw how you struggled with it--how hard it was being pulled in two directions at once. And it made me sad."
