Chapter 32: The Charmer

Lucifer was at attention as he always was. "All right, it's time to explain what we have planned for day two of the retreat."

The morning wake up had been Asmo squealing along with Simeon taking a picture of Ivy, Zach, and Luke cuddling together. Ivy quickly activated her banshee genes and screeched at the two for waking her up. Everyone else woke up due to Ivy angrily screeching at 5 am.

Beel gave his older brother an exasperated look. "... Quit leaning against me, Mammon. You're heavy, you know."

Mammon glared at Beel. "Shut up and at least let me rest my head against your shoulder, Beel. Lucifer kept me up until morning... I didn't sleep a wink last night."

Mammon then yawned. Ivy approached him and pulled him towards her. Mammon started to fall asleep as he breathed in that aromatheraputic sweet scent. Diavolo chuckled. "Yes, Lucifer just kept going and going last night, didn't he? I'm sure you had a hard time, Mammon. Though I have to stay, it was fun to watch. Hahaha."

"That's NOT funny!"

Zach put noise cancelling headphones over Ivy's ears. She had other problems to deal with.

'Was-Was that an innuendo?'
'Leo, what's an innuendo?'
'You're too innocent to know, Cosmos.'
'A dirty joke.'
'SCORPIO! YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO SAY ANYTHING TO HER!'
'Sorry, Virgo.'

Outside of Ivy's upcoming migraine, Levi was on his phone. "'Big news: Last night Lord Diavolo, Lucifer, and Mammon totally [CENSORED]!'"

Zach wished he was deaf. He truly did. Ivy groaned audibly as she rubbed her temples. Barbatos eyed Zach and then Ivy. "Is she all right? I can get her some aspirin."

Zach shook his head. "Leave her. She'll be fine once she calms down a bit."

"If you say so..."

Mammon was now glaring at Levi. "HEY! Don't post stuff like that! I don't want my personal information leakin' online!"

Zach tilted his head towards the ceiling and started murmuring. "Oh, how I wish I were deaf..."

Zach didn't miss when the fourth brother gave Mammon an incredulous look. "Wait, that's the part you have a problem with, Mammon?"

Asmo chuckled. "Hehe. I bet they were on the [CENSORED], and Lucifer [CENSORED] and [CENSORED]! Right... am I right?"

Zach was contemplating getting holy water from Simeon. He thanked every star that Ivy wasn't listening and couldn't hear anything. Luke blinked. "Simeon? Why'd you put your hands over my ears? I can't hear anything that way."

Simeon turned to Luke. "Right. That's the idea, Luke."

Solomon tried to get back with the program. "So, back to business. I think you mentioned that day two of the retreat was supposed to be--"

"A scavenger hunt, right?"

Ivy sighed in relief as her headache finally stopped bothering her. Lucifer nodded. "Yes, we'll be having a scavenger hunt. Each group will be given riddles to solve. Each riddle hints at one of the works of art or historical items here in the castle. Once you figure out the answer, you find and take a picture of the item in question. The things you learned during yesterday's tour of the castle should come in handy as you try solving your riddles."

The headphones were off as he had explained. Ivy listened intently. Mammon was obviously going to leap to an opportunity. "We're doing this in groups, huh? In that case, I'm groupin' up with Ivy."

Diavolo broke the news. "Why don't we just say that the groups will be made up of the same people you share a room with?"

Mammon growled a bit at that. Ivy just hummed.
