Chapter 38: One Demon's Agony is Another Demon's Entertainment

Ivy had just allowed her new temporary roommates in and was now lounging on her bed. Satan (Lucifer) was glancing around. "... Well then. I'm going to go ahead and call this meeting to order. We'll be discussing how things are going to work now that Satan and I have switched bodies."

Mammon was also here. "Um, wait a minute. This is Satan talking, which means it's Lucifer inside. So then... it's Lucifer speaking. Man, this is complicated. And annoyin'."

Zach was also called in and rolled his eyes when Mammon spoke. Lucifer (Satan) glared at himself. "I hate looking at Lucifer, and I hate hearing him speak. But even when it's me I'm looking at, it still irritates me to hear him speak."

Asmo turned to him. "Oh, but you're saying that it's a little better now that he looks different?"

Satan (Lucifer) turned to the three. "It makes sense that Ivy is here because we're in Ivy's room. But Mammon, Asmo, Zach, what exactly are you three doing here?"

Zach pointed at Ivy. "Ivy called me in."

Mammon was fumbling for words. "Uh... well, ya see... The thing is, um."

Asmo chuckled darkly. "'Why do YOU two get to be in this room, watchin' Ivy change and sleep, even first thing in the mornin' while I don't! It ain't fair, I'm jealous as hell, and I wanna be in on this too, dammit!' ... Is that what you're getting at?"

"Hey! Stop impersonatin' me!"

"Incidentally, I'm only here because this looked like it could become interesting...💖"

Satan (Lucifer) rubbed his temples. "... Fine, whatever. Let's just ignore those three and continue with our conversation. There are two fundamental rules that must be adhered to: First, neither of us is allowed to go into each other's room unless the other is present as well. Second, we are to avoid doing anything that might attract attention while at school."

Lucifer (Satan) seemed amused. "... You would say that, Lucifer. All you ever care about is appearances."

"Did you say something?"

"No. ... So, long story short, we avoid getting caught, and there'll be no problems, right?"

Silence followed. Asmo turned to the two. "So, does that mean the meeting's over? Ooh... okay then! Lucifer, want to take a bath with me?"

Satan (Lucifer) turned to Asmo while Lucifer (Satan) seemed shocked. "... Excuse me?"

"Ooh... sorry, I didn't mean the real Lucifer. I meant the one in Lucifer's body."

Lucifer (Satan) merely blinked. "Me?"

Asmo chuckled. "Yep. Hehehe... I've always wanted to get a look at Lucifer au na-tu-rel!💖 I mean, the real Lucifer in his own body is the ultimate dream, really. But even if it's only Satan in Lucifer's body, we could still--"

Satan (Lucifer) glared daggers at Asmo. "Absolutely not."

"What?! Why not?! I mean, what's the harm?! It's just your body! Ugh, you're so stingy!"

Mammon hummed. "You know though, speaking of baths, what are ya supposed to do when ya have to go to the bathroom and st--"

Satan (Lucifer) turned his glare on Mammon. "MAAAAMMOOOON..."

"D'aah! ... Wait, what the..."

The former looked surprised. Mammon grinned. "... Hey, what's goin' on? Seriously, what's goin' on here?! I know it's Lucifer in there, but now that he's in Satan's body, that totally doesn't have the same impact! Like, it doesn't even hurt! In fact, I feel like I can stand up to him right now! And come to think of it, I'm the stronger of us two, huh?! I outrank Satan with Lucifer inside, don't I?!"
