Luke snuck out of his room after making sure no one was watching. He didn't need Lucifer sneaking up behind him and calling him by the nickname 'Chihuahua'. Luke then snuck through the halls to where the room the Cosmos was in.
He opened the door and closed it softly, making sure not to wake the four occupants of the room. He tiptoed over to where Ivy was and tugged on her hand which hung over the side of the bed. Ivy stirred and then opened her only seeing violet eye. Her eyes were sleepy, but they sharpened a bit upon noticing Luke. "Luke, is everything alright?"
Luke nodded. Ivy sat up and rubbed her eye. "Why are you here so late then?"
Luke fiddled with his thumbs. "Well, my roommates are bugging me, so I just snuck over. Is it all right if I sleep with you and Zach tonight?"
"Sure. Let me just wake up Dad and ask."
Ivy shook her father awake. Zach groaned as he sat up. "What do you want, mi hija?"
Ivy gave him a pleading look. "Can Luke sleep with us for the night? His roommates are bugging him with their behavior and he needs sleep."
"All right, mi hija, he can stay. I'll get him up here."
Zach slipped out of bed and approached Luke. He knelt down and picked up the smaller angel. Luke marveled at his strength. Zach then walked over to his side of the bed and slipped back into bed. He pressed Ivy down on her shoulder, so Ivy would be sleeping on her side. Zach put the young angel down so that Luke faced Ivy. Luke's head was under Ivy's chin.
Ivy wrapped her arms around Luke. The fluffy long-sleeved pajama shirt was what Luke felt when Ivy wrapped her arms around him. Luke wrapped his smaller arms under her armpits. Zach put the blankets over the three of them. He put one arm on the pillow while the other arm was slung over the two. And, for extra measure, he put one wing under the two while the he put the other wing over the two.
The three fell asleep after getting situated. Zach stayed awake a little longer though as he looked at the two. The three would look like a family from an outsider's perspective. Zach smiled at the thought as he closed his eyes.
Perhaps this was what you would call "familial love".
