Belphie was currently laughing. Beel smiled at his twin. "Belphie, come on, it's not that funny."
Ivy, Avalon, and Maria held hands while walking. Belphie turned to Beel. "You saw the look on Lucifer's face, right? The one he had when you said you were leaving? Ahahaha! It was classic, am I right?! It must've been a real shock having you turn against him. His loyal, faithful brother Beel... heheh..."
Beel was silent. Ivy turned to him. Was he still having inner turmoil? Or was that resolved? Belphie turned to his twin. "Still, are you sure you're okay with this, Beel? Taking off and leaving the House of Lamentation?"
Beel averted his eyes to the ground. "Well, either way, we can't go back there. Not anymore. Sorry for getting you and your sisters caught up in all this, Ivy. I thought you'd be better off with us. If you'd stayed in that house any longer, who knows what Lucifer would've done to you..."
Ivy shuddered, remembering how outraged Lucifer had been. She wouldn't like to deal with that again. She turned to her sisters. "Looks like your stay is being extended."
Avalon nodded. Ivy turned back to Beel. "Thanks for looking out for me and my sisters."
Beel smiled at the compassionate woman. "You really are a good person. It was all supposed to be nothing more than a practical joke. I can't believe it led to this."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You must've thought it was pretty strange too, huh? All of us disappearing like that, one by one, until it was only you three and Lucifer there alone."
Belphie looked up at his older twin. "That wasn't a coincidence? Interesting, whose idea was it? It couldn't have been yours, right?"
Beel nodded in agreement. "Satan was the one who suggested it. At the time, we thought that you were making pacts with us because you wanted to gain Lucifer's approval. So, we thought if we could force you two into a situation where you were alone, you'd open up to each other, hopefully leading to something good. Yes, Avalon and Maria were in on it. Then, Levi and the others took the plan and ran with it. They started talking about how it would be fun to spice things up by turning it into a horror sort of thing..."
Ivy glanced at her siblings who smiled sheepishly. Ivy sighed. These two were going to eventually going to be her bane as well. Ivy turned to them. "So what do we do now?"
"Yeah, good question. I'm hungry."
Belphie smiled with amusement. "Ooh, there it is... I'm hungry! It's been so long since I've heard you say that, Beel! And now you're making me hungry, too. Also, I can't help noticing that something smells good... and it's not Ivy and her siblings."
Beel suddenly perked up. "Wait, I know that smell. That's the aroma of one of Simeon's BLT devil sandwiches. I'm sure of it."
Simeon suddenly spotted them and his eyes widened upon seeing Belphie. "Wh... bu... huh?! I don't believe it! Belphegor?! Long time no see! And Ivy, those two...!"
Ivy smiled. "My sisters. Avalon and Maria."
Avalon and Maria waved to him. Belphie smiled at the angel. "Well, if it isn't Simeon. And he's got a paper bag with one of his BLT devil sandwiches inside. That explains the aroma."
Simeon smiled back at Belphie. "Belphie, I heard you were in the human world on the exchange program. Are you back for a visit or something?"
"You know, Simeon, this is the perfect timing. I actually have a favor to ask. What do you say to letting us stay at Purgatory Hall with you?"
Beel was eying the bag. "Also, I'll take that BLT devil sandwich you've got there, thanks."
Simeon eyed the five. "Sure... but something tells me that there's more to this than you're letting on."
