Chapter 48: Some Things Are Meant to Be

Lucifer turned to the group. "All right, does everyone have a glass now?"

Mammon seemed pumped. "YOU KNOW IT! LET'S DO THIS!"

Beel was already eating. Ivy facepalmed while Asmo stared at him with worry. "Wait a second... Beel's already started eating! Shouldn't someone stop him?"

Zach sighed. There was no stopping Beel. Diavolo merely laughed. "Hahaha! Well, that's all right. Why don't we go ahead and have our toast."

Satan smiled. "All right, then... Here's to lifting the curse that had Lucifer and me in each other's bodies!"

Lucifer added on to that. "And congratulations to Satan on delivering a fantastic speech to the entire student body. And for our new human allies."

He gestured to Avalon and Maria Autumns. The two nodded to him with a smile. Diavolo was more than pleased. "Cheers!"

Mammon was pleased about this. "All riiiiight! Here comes the fun part!"

Beel was extremely happy. "Ah, excuse me, I'd like to add to our order. ... For starters, I'll have everything on your menu from this page to... this page here, thanks."

Avalon chuckled. "Goodness, sister. You mentioned this, but I didn't think it was this bad."

Ivy sighed. "Ava, he's the Avatar of Gluttony. What did you expect?"

"True."

Asmo sighed. "... You guys realize he's planning on devouring the restaurant's entire stock of food, right? Shouldn't we maybe stop him?"

Mammon shrugged. "Ah, what's the harm? After all, Lord Diavolo's the one payin' tonight!"

Lucifer then noticed something. "You know... I just noticed that Levi isn't here."

Satan piped up. "Apparently, a new game showed up for him today, so he's going to stay holed up inside his room for a while."

Diavolo and Maria were now chatting. Ivy smiled at the two. Diavolo aimed for all three worlds to get along some day. Knowing that the two were now allies of his cause had brightened his mood. He was one of the first people to be formally introduced to them. Marigold had no problem watching their apartment while they were away with their eldest sibling. She'd be proud of them.

Ivy then put some food in her mouth. Satan then said something unbelievable. "Ugh... unbelievable. Diavolo himself personally invited him to this celebration, and he's not even going to show up?"

Ivy stopped chewing and turned to him. Oh please no. Not this again. She continued chewing, thinking nothing of it. That was, until Lucifer piped up. "Maybe you should have gone over there and dragged him back here with you, Lucifer, to avoid bringing shame to Lord Diavolo."

Ivy started choking on her food. Avalon immediately went to work aiding her twin. "¡Dios mío, Ivy!"

This was confusing. "If you hope to serve as my representative from now on, then errands like that are as much your responsibility as mine, Satan."

Beel stared at the two, confused. "Mmph...?"

Maria was worried about her eldest sibling. "Big Sis...?"

Ivy was still choking. "I'm...*cough* fine."

Mammon was in shock. "... Huh? Wha?! What's goin' on?!"

Ivy finally stopped choking and grabbed her water glass, taking two gulps. Asmo stared at Lucifer and Satan. "Wait... it can't be! Did you switch bodies again?!"

"No... you aren't gonna tell us that the curse didn't really go away, and you've been in each other's bodies the whole time, are you?!"

Ivy peered at them. "I should f**king hope not!"
