"No matter how far apart we may be, no matter how much time passes, even if someday you're no longer yourself... I'll never forget you. And I'll always pray that you find happiness... always. ... I love you, Lilith."
Ivy felt herself tear up. This moment was making her cry. To think he sacrificed this much for his little sister and knowing she would have done the same... The tears started to flow.
-End-
Ivy heard a voice call out to her. "...! Ivy...! Ivy!"
When Ivy came through, she felt her damp right cheek from the tears. Mammon shouted at her. "What're ya doin'?! How can you stand there starin' off into space at a time like this?!"
Cerberus roared. Ava noticed Ivy's face. She had been crying. What on earth had she seen? Asmo turned to the second eldest. "Mammooon! What're we supposed to do noooow?!"
"Pick up the grimoire, Ivy!"
Satan glared at her. "Don't think, just do it!"
Ivy inhaled and exhaled. She then reached for the grimoire. She then saw that it was wrapped in ivy vines. She couldn't pick it up without damaging the coffin. Satan turned to Mammon. "Mammon, I can't keep this beast at bay much longer!"
Levi wasn't helping. "AAAAH! I don't want to be Doggy McDogface's dinnerrrr!"
A voice suddenly echoed through the room. "CERBERUS!"
Cerberus seemed surprised by the sudden voice. Ivy sighed in relief, seeing Lucifer. Lucifer glared at the three headed dog. "SIT!"
Cerberus growled a bit. Mammon suddenly felt relieved. "We're..."
Asmo blinked. "We're s-s-s..."
Beel might have been surprised. "We're saved..."
Levi stared at the floor. "I thought I was dead for sure this time..."
Satan let out an exasperated sigh. "If you're gonna save the day, do it sooner, Lucifer!"
Avalon and Maria let out relieved sighs. Lucifer eyed the group. "You should be thankful that I came at all. I don't believe all of you... Can't you go a single day without causing trouble?"
Highly impossible, good sir. That was what Ivy was thinking as she looked at the group. Mammon frowned at his brother. "Don't look at me. I wasn't causin' any trouble! Cerberus and Asmo were the ones who were bein' loud and stuff! ... For the most part!"
Asmo glared at him. "Excuse me? Why single me out? Levi was being loud too, you know?"
Lucifer suddenly looked at the group. "And this is unexpected. You're joined by the very four people who should be keeping a low profile. That would be you four, Beel, Maria, Avalon, Ivy."
Ivy blinked in surprise. Why were they...? She merely rushed towards Lucifer and hugged him as tightly as she could. Her sisters were surprised. "Ivy?!"
Lucifer was also taken aback by the sudden hug. Mammon was too. "Wh-wh-whaaaa?!"
Asmo was clearly thinking of something suggestive. "Ooooh?"
Beel stayed quiet as well as Satan. Levi narrowed his eyes. "Hey, what's the big idea?! Are you trying to show off, is that it?"
Lucifer was still a bit surprised. He then narrowed his eyes at the female. "Is this your idea of an apology? Or is it--"
Asmo looked at the two with a glint in his eyes. "Love?"
Ivy felt her face heat up. What in the name of all things good was Asmo saying?! Mammon looked ready to intervene. "Wait, WHAT?!"
Lucifer was silent and Ivy looked up at him. She wasn't expecting him to look away with pink dusted cheeks. "... Get off of me, Ivy. Now."
Asmo was still teasing. "So you don't mind if you get a hug later, hm?💖"
Levi frowned. "... This is so not fair."
"Huh? What'd you say?"
Ivy finally pulled away from him and crossed her arms before looking up at Lucifer. "I want to hear the truth."
Asmo nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that goes for the rest of us, too."
Lucifer turned his eyes away. Satan glared at him. "Ah, responding with silence as usual. You always have been good at that."
Mammon eyed him. "C'mon, don't leave us hangin!"
Asmo crossed his arms. "I'd say it's about time you actually talked to us."
Levi nodded. "Yeah. This isn't just your problem. It's a family problem. It involves us all."
Avalon nodded. "I agree. I mean, we're involved in our sister's family problems. Why don't you let your brothers involve themselves in this family problem?"
The we was Ivy and Avalon. They were talking about Maria's issues before she moved in and even afterwards. Lucifer seemed to think about it. "A family problem. Hmm..."
Beel wanted answers. "Come on, Lucifer. Talk to us."
"Beel, I... okay. Let's head back upstairs. We'll worry Lilith if she sees us acting like this."
...
They were now in the library. Everyone was silent. Ivy felt nervous. "Would it be better if my sisters and I weren't here?"
Mammon shook his head. "No, there's no need to go."
Satan nodded in agreement. "That's right."
Asmo hummed. "Actually, I'd say this involves you three."
Levi nodded. "Yep. You're like family to us now, after all. Your sisters are just the newest members since they're your actual family."
Ivy smiled at that. Beel added on. "You three stay right here."
Lucifer turned to them. "... Well, you heard them."
He sighed as the three took a sit down. "It would seem my brothers think of you as part of the family now."
Beel hummed. "Family, huh... Okay, then what about Belphie?"
Asmo gave him a look. "Beel..."
"Belphie's family too! That goes without saying! Or am I wrong?!"
Lucifer was silent for a while before sighing. "Yes, he is family. That's why I locked him away."
Ivy blinked in surprise along with her sisters.
