Belphie blinked. "... Wha? What's going on? Ivy, how did you get in here?"
I got in here via the door. It's surprising, not only to you but to me as well. I have no idea how I opened the magic door keeping you in here, but I guess it's because I have my magic as a Cosmos. That, or I'm related in some way, shape, or form. I'm honestly hoping for the first option. Mainly for reasons unknown to you that I would rather not speak of.
Belphie continued speaking while Ivy continued her internal monologue. "I mean, the only one who can get in here is Lucifer--...! I don't believe it! The door... it's open...! Did you do that? Did you open it?"
Ivy hummed. "Bingo. I opened the door."
Belphie looked surprised for a minute before a smile spread across his face. "Amazing...! This is amazing, Ivy! Ahahaha! YES!"
Ivy suddenly felt her anxiety rise. Wait, why was she even anxious? Belphie continued to smile at her. "Oh Ivy, you've set me free! You've released me from this prison!"
Ivy smiled back awkwardly. Her senses were going haywire at the moment. Belphie chuckled. "You've saved me! Thank you so much...! I knew it! I knew you'd come through for me! Ahahaha! There's no way Lucifer or Lord Diavolo ever imagined THIS would happen! To think I'd be saved by a human...!"
Belphie then started to laugh. Ivy felt more anxious with every passing second. Why? Belphie then stopped laughing to look at her. "It really is ironic!"
Belphie then started laughing again. Ivy swallowed thickly. When Belphie stopped laughing, he eyed the Cosmos. "In any event, Ivy, all I can do is thank you. Now I can finally achieve what I set out to do!"
Belphie then opened his arms to hug Ivy. Ivy wanted to accept his hug, but all her senses were going haywire, so she backed away from him. "I'm not doing that."
"What, you don't want to hug? Hehe, well... that's not very friendly of you. I was really hoping to share my joy with you, but okay... So, Ivy..."
Ivy blinked. Sweat was rolling down the side of her face. Belphie then transformed into his true form, his demon form. "... how can I express what I'm feeling right now? What can I do?"
Ivy was suddenly grabbed while Belphie laughed. All of Ivy's senses were screaming at her to run. Belphie sighed. "You humans really are foolish, idiotic, weak creatures, aren't you? You're so stupid that I can't help but laugh. Don't blame me for tricking you, blame yourself for falling for it. If you die, the exchange program will be ruined, and Diavolo's reputation will be in tatters. I hate humans, you see. I hate them more than anything in the three worlds. Hehe... does it hurt? Finding it hard to breathe? I'm sure it must be very unpleasant."
Ivy was pushed against the wall, Belphie's hands tightly wrapping around her throat. It was cutting off her air and she was desperately clawing at his arms. Ivy needed air. Belphie continued speaking. "I have to say, seeing a human face twisted in pain like this... why, it's so much fun that I can barely stand it! I... I can't contain the laughter!"
Ivy felt tears stream down her face. "St... op... ple... ase... Fa... ther..."
Ivy saw her father standing there in the place of Belphie. Saw his magenta eyes widen. Wait, were her father's eyes magenta? It didn't matter. Ivy laughed with melancholy in her tone. How ironic for her father to be the person she saw in her final moments. Her eyes closed as everything went fuzzy.
...
Belphegor was... extremely perplexed to say the least. Her last words had been "Stop, please Father". It was honestly unnerving.
It was clear that something had happened between Ivy and her father if she saw him in place of Belphie.
It wasn't as though he cared, no. He wasn't concerned about her past on what her trauma was like. All he cared about was that Ivy was finally dead.
Everything was going according to his plan.
...
Ivy Lilith Autumns was sure that she was dead. Everything logical pointed to it. But, she heard something. "... elp... Help... Hey, wake up."
Huh? That was odd. Was Ivy hallucinating? It must have been the lack of oxygen making her mind imagine things. The voice kept talking. "... You can do this. I know you can find me. ... Please..."
Ivy decided that even if she was hallucinating, it wouldn't hurt. Ivy groaned before opening her eye. Ivy then saw a female figure in front of her. Ivy reached out to her. She seemed so familiar. "I... know you."
The figure blinked. "Really? You do? I knew it was the right choice picking you. I've been waiting for so long, you see. I've been waiting for you to come find me. My name is Lilith."
Ivy blinked. This was Lilith? She was so... radiant. Ivy hummed. "Why are you here?"
Lilith was silent for a moment before deciding to answer. "Following the Great Celestial War... I was near death. My very existence hung by a thread. But thanks to Lucifer, I was reborn as a human. And so I lived out my life, a happy one as a human, never knowing who I was or what had happened. But then... after my death, I remembered. I remembered who I was. I'm worried about Belphie. Not only him, but all of my brothers."
Ivy hummed. Lilith kept talking. "Ever since becoming a soul, I've been watching over them, and in that time, I've forgotten how to get to the Celestial Realm. ... Please, Ivy."
Lilith took Ivy's hands in her own. "I'll lend you my powers, so please, save them. You're the only one who can."
Ivy shook out her hair. "I'm already the Cosmos! If you were to give me your powers..."
Ivy went silent. Lilith was well aware of Ivy's status and what the transgender woman was capable of, but she wanted to help. This was the only way Lilith could help. "Please..."
"But why me? Why the bloody hell does it have to be me?"
"Why you? Because you're my... which is why..."
