I sat alone, in bed till the morning
I'm crying, "They're coming for me"
When Yori woke up he knew already that it was over for him. It was just a question of how long it would take for it to finally be over. His head was hurting and his throat was dry and he realized that he was tied up. Breathing was difficult, because something was blocking his mouth - he suspected that it was duct tape or something similar. The rope was cutting into his wrists and ankles.
He almost wasn't surprised. He knew that he had fucked up even thinking about snitching. He knew it was a bad idea. But he had no other way to get out of all of this. But it seemed like he wasn't fast enough. Somehow, someone had found out about it and now here he was.
Tied up, gagged and waiting to die. He couldn't see any people around him, so he wondered whether he was alone or if they were all just out of his field of vision. It didn't really matter in the end. He had heard all the horror stories about people who can't pay for their drugs and people who decide to snitch. Why he hadn't let those stories keep him from selling drugs was beyond him.
He knew he really shouldn't have even started. And he shouldn't have taken any of those stupid pills in the first place. He should have known better. Why hadn't he realized that this stuff would fuck him up for good all those times when his mother was knocked out from some pills for days on end?
Well, it was too late now. He really hoped they wouldn't make it too cruel. They could just shoot him. But Yori doubted that would be the case. He was pretty sure they'd drag it out, just as a warning to the rest of the gang. He probably should have talked to them first... but it was too late.
Whatever was going to happen to him, he hoped that it would at least lead to something good. Like the rest of the group stopping to sell their damn drugs. It wasn't fucking worth it. Sure, it was fun at the beginning, but they should have stopped, before it got this serious. They should never have gone this far. But they all had been too greedy to see that, even though they already had everything they wanted.
He almost wanted to laugh about how stupid all of this was, but... well, his mouth was taped shut, so he didn't really have much of a choice. That was when he heard some footsteps. He opened his eyes but he still couldn't really see anything. This was either someone bailing him out or...
Or they had come to finally finish the job. Yori tried to sit up and see what was going on, but it was basically impossible. His muscles and his bones hurt and he felt that even without the restraints he wouldn't really be able to move much. Not that he was planning to move a lot anyway.
"You awake?" he heard someone ask. Yori raised his eyebrows. How the fuck was he supposed to answer with that stupid tape over his mouth. Were those guys stupid or something?
"Take the tape off his mouth, you moron." someone else said. There was some snickering in the background.
"Ah, shit, right, I forgot about that." the other voice said again. More footsteps. Yori could feel his heart racing, as he heard them approaching. Someone with a mask bent down to him and quickly tore the tape off his mouth. Yori gasped for air once it was gone. It stung like hell.
"You awake?" he asked again.
"What the fuck does it look like?" Yori said, his voice hoarse from not talking for so long. And probably from whatever drugs they had given him to knock him out. The guy in front of him chuckled.
"You seem pretty awake. I assume you know why you're here?" he replied. Yori sighed. Of course he knew. How the hell could he not know. They had made it pretty damn obvious that he was here to die.
