It hadn't really been Azami's plan to keep half the weed she had left over for herself. But after that entire traumatic episode at the club - and specifically after their boss got arrested - there wasn't really any business left to speak of. Sure, Mitsuo still had his bets, but they weren't as lucrative as selling drugs in large amounts. But... well, now that they had nothing left...

Everyone was gathered in Azami's dorm room - Keiko, Saki, Yori, Mitsuo, Hitoshi and Mina - with the window wide open and a million incense sticks lit. Azami had all the utensils with her, but none of them had ever rolled a cigarette or a joint or anything, really. So no one had any idea how this worked.

Sure, they had watched a few video tutorials. But actually doing it proved to be much more difficult than they had all thought. The first thing was that it was incredibly difficult to get an idea how much tobacco was supposed to go into the paper. And then it was also difficult to actually roll the whole thing. The paper was pretty sticky and it was such a strangely delicate task, that they wasted several papers simply because they couldn't manage to roll them properly.

After about half an hour of trying to roll a somewhat decent joint, Mina finally produced something that seemed acceptable. She seemed to have some sort of hidden talent for rolling joints which Yori gladly noted. But they soon faced their next problem - finding a lighter.

After they had somehow magically produced a lighter from the depths of Mitsuo's room they were finally ready to light this thing. Azami seriously wasn't sure why Mitsuo had a lighter on him. He didn't seem like the type for candles and all that, but he sure seemed like the type that wouldn't hesitate to set people on fire. Something about Mitsuo was just... very uncomfortable.

But he was good with money and he had a lighter, so they couldn't just ditch him. Plus, he always kept a cool head with everything, which came in handy more often than Azami would have liked. Surely they could keep him under control somehow, right? Maybe they were just worried for no reason.

The next problem they faced in their endeavour to try marijuana was that the damn thing just wouldn't stay lit and they had to relight it several times until they could finally get something out of it. Keiko took the first drag and handed it to Azami, right after which she started coughing out her lungs.

"Jeez, Keiko, you okay?" Mitsuo wanted to know with a raised eyebrow. She nodded, gasping for air, before coughing again.

"Yeah, she's fine. Her lungs just aren't used to the smoke." Azami commented, inhaling the smoke herself and starting to cough as she handed the joint over to Hitoshi, who was sitting next to her on the floor. She could feel how the smoke was tickling her lungs and made her gasp for air and cough. Damn it. This was a terrible feeling. Why did anyone do this to themselves voluntarily?

"You feel anything yet, guys?" Yori asked, as he was taking another drag. Azami shrugged, as she kept coughing. She didn't feel anything so far. Just a little light-headed, but that was probably from coughing so much. Keiko also shook her head. Hitoshi chuckled and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"They've taken one hit, what are they supposed to feel, Yori?" he asked with a big smirk on his face.

"Who made you the expert on weed?" Yori wanted to know, before Mina chuckled, before handing the joint to Saki. Azami wondered whether there would be any difference for Saki. That girl seemed to be high all the time. Maybe she'd actually be able to be in touch with reality for once?
