Bucky and I laid in bed, my head on his chest listening to music. He caressed my arm as my eyes grew heavy.
"Doll?" Bucky said calmly
"Mmh?" I adjusted my head
"You still awake?"
"Mhm"
He stayed quiet. I began to think about the previous hours of the day.
"Your cheesy you know that" I decided to speak again
"What do you mean?"
"You set up and picnic during a sunset" I slightly laughed
"That's not cheesy, that's romantic"
"It's both"
"Well it apparently worked because I got you to say I love you back"
"Smiles . . ."
"Yes?"
"I would have said it a long time ago"
He kissed the top of my head
"Did you do the picnic thing to all the girls from the 40s?" I asked "I can see why they all liked you so much"
"What?"
"Steve told me you were quite the gentleman back than, dates every night."
"I was- I was cocky and stupid back than, but I never felt this way. And I definitely didn't take anyone on a cheesy yet romantic picnic"
I smiled
"You know what else Steve told me?" I looked up at him
"What's that?"
"That you have never seemed so happy, that I have changed you in a good way."
"He's 100% right."
He lifted my face and started to kiss me, it was great . . . Until Sam barged in.
"WOAH!" Sam yelled covering his eyes
Bucky rolled his eyes and I laughed
"You guys wearing clothes under that blanket?!" Sam said with his eyes still covered
"No, so get out." Bucky said bluntly
"Yes we are" I laughed "you can look"
"Its called knocking" Bucky started
"My girl normally isn't attached to another dudes face." Sam added
I smirked at Bucky who looked annoyed
"Not your girl" Bucky said under his breath
"What is it Sammie?" I said still smiling
"The god. The weird one. He said he has to tell us something, all of us."
