(ENG) Chapter Nine - Lend A Hand

Pha and Singto split up, searching down the alleys around the restaurant to looking for Veera. Singto was sure that the girl must be hiding somewhere and crying right now. Meanwhile, Pha stopped and closed his eyes for a moment trying to remember something.

After got a clue, Pha immediately headed to a playground across the street and stopped a few meters before reaching the location when he saw the girl sitting on a swing.

He caught his breath for a moment before approaching her.

Veera was not surprised at all by his presence, she was swinging calmly smiling and looking straight at the man.

The two of them exchanged glances with each other for a few moments without exchanging words.

"Sorry, I left without saying goodbye....because I thought I would cry..." said the girl opening the conversation and laughing.

Pha was silent for a moment, then sat down on the empty swing beside her and said. "I'm glad to see you again, and I'm glad to know that you're fine..."

"I thought you were not happy to see me..." Veera replied then turned to him and was curious. "Are you all right after we break up? Do you hate me for leaving you?"

"Not at first..." replied Pha bluntly. "I never blame you for leaving me, I just feel sad and emotional because I can't do anything to keep you by my side...." he sighed.

"Sorry...."

"No need to apologize, everything has passed...." Phana tried to cheer her up and change the topic. "If you don't want to do as your parents told, then you have to firmly decline...I'll help you this time..."

Veera looked straight at him with a shocked expression and thought for a moment. "You want revenge on my parents?" she asked jokingly. "Or...is there any other reason?"

Pha didn't answer, he didn't know how to say the reason, in fact, he just wanted to help the girl so that she didn't suffer the same fate as the other victims.

"But...I need a little time to think of the solution..." said Pha. "Can you wait?"

Meanwhile, Singto was watching the two from across the street, although he could not hear their conversation, he could see the girl's face was so happy and concluded that everything was going well.

He smiled and sighed with relief.

At the same time, Singto suddenly noticed a bright light from his left, he stopped for a moment and turned to the side. As if hypnotized, Singto widened his eyes when he saw a car that was not slowing down and was heading towards him, causing him to close his eyes in reflex due to dazzled.
