(ENG) Chapter Ten - Robbery

Two weeks have passed since the accident...

Phana tried to move his hands up and down slowly like lifting weights to train his joints and bones. Even though he still had a little pain, he was able to lift light objects and carry out daily activities without difficulty.

But as a policeman, the developments can't be said to be good news because he hasn't been able to pull the gun trigger or perform dangerous tasks like catching criminals.

His life seemed to have changed 180 degrees, he could only do light activities and sit in the office all day, take various vitamins and supplements for bones, and the saddest part was that he could not smoke because it would slow down the healing process.

While Singto has to manage his time to teaching and take care of Pha, lucky that Veera is helping him. Singto still experiences strange things at school or around his apartment sometimes, but he never tells Pha, he began gets used to it and tried to ignore it.

That afternoon, he just returned from school and straightly headed to his apartment to pick up few things. After parking the car, he immediately walked towards the elevator in a hurry. As the elevator doors opened, he was startled by an old man who suddenly came out from inside, hobbling, while pushing the garbage cart, giving him a quick glance before leaving.

Singto froze for a moment, staring at the old man's back with a suspicious expression before getting into the elevator. When he arrived at his apartment floor and walked out, he accidentally saw a card falling on the floor in front of the elevator, he froze for a moment before picking it up and read it.

Singto immediately suspected that the wallet belonged to the old man, he was about to press the button to go down, but then changes his mind, and think that the old man must have left.

Singto then put the card into his pants pocket and continued to reach his destination, he would return the card to the city hall later, he thought.

After finished showering, he immediately headed to the police station and accompany Phana to the hospital to do a routine check-up to find out the development of his hand's condition.

From the hospital, they headed to a noodle shop to fill their stomachs before returning to the apartment.

Singto ate absentmindedly while watching Pha without blinking, the man was stirring the noodles with his left hand and bring them with difficulty to his mouth.

Realizing that, Pha glanced at him and asked.

"Are you looking at me or the noodles?"

Singto, who was slurping noodles, stopped immediately and quickly turned his gaze to another direction, then continued eating, pretending he didn't hear his question.

Pha smiled at his reaction and continued eating.

After finished, he let out a deep sigh and muttered alone.

"I haven't smoked for a long time...my tongue tastes bitter...it makes me lose appetite and unable to concentrate..." he complained while putting on a sad face.

But Singto just ignored him and enjoyed his meal while sipping beer.

Realizing that, Pha then took a deep breath and thought for a moment.

"Life is really unfair, someone says he will share the suffering with me, but instead he is having fun alone, while I can only bite my fingers..." Pha said sarcastically while glancing at the beer in Singto's hand.
