(ENG) Chapter Fifteen - The Rituals

Day one....

Not out of Phana's prediction, the ritual turned out to be a business field for some greedy people. Wherein, the prospective bride and groom are encouraged to give gifts or souvenirs as gratitude after receiving blessings or rather called a bribe.

Some people take the opportunity to make money, by acting as providers of goods, and some even provide ritual organizer service.

Phana didn't want to believe it, but he couldn't help but forced to follow all these ridiculous rules.

The two of them visit the first house on the family data list and showed their ID, as Pha thought, the family seemed not surprised to know their relationship and immediately guessed the purpose of their arrival.

"I don't know if my daughter is able to get married and live happily as you say, but I want to thank you for making her smile, I will give my blessing to you and I wish you guys happiness..." he immediately took the document and signed it.

The two men exchanged glances for a moment and hugged the little girl before saying goodbye to express their thanks.

Next, they headed for the second house and so on which were not too far away from each other and repeated the same process. The responses and attitudes of the residents also varied, some showed sympathy, some did not care, but also some were critical.

The head of the household who is the woman's father was embarrassed and immediately apologized to both of them.

After getting a signature and was about to leave the house, suddenly Singto felt dizzy and his eyes seemed to be shaded, so he closed his eyes for a moment and imagined a woman who was kneeling and begging with tears, but the answer she got was a slap, a harsh words, and even curses, and then also was kicked and spat on.
