Y/n = your name

warning: none

You were in the Stark Tower's library, trying to find peace and calm. This was your favourite place on Earth. The rain was pouring outside, the beautiful sound of the pitter-patter of the water hitting the windows made you smile.

You made your way to the Shakespeare section and tried to choose which book you were gonna read today. After an intense moment of thinking, you chose Henry IV. You stood on your tiptoes when a hand brushed yours.

You flinched and the pale hand took the book from the shelf. You turned around and met none other than the god of mischief: Loki. "Excuse me, dear, was that the book you were looking for?" He asked with his silky voice.

"Indeed." You replied. He chuckled softly. "How funny. I was intending to read this one as well." You smiled. "I didn't hear you enter, since when are you here?" You asked. "I think I've been here for about five minutes. You seemed so concentrated, I didn't want to disturb you. Besides, I am the one disturbed by you..."

You tilted your head in confusion. "What do you mean?" You said. A smile formed on his rosy lips. "I am troubled when I see you. I have never seen a woman such as you, you're an intriguing darling."

Your cheeks became crimson. He gently placed his frigid hand on your warm face. "Sorry for making you blush dear." Said he with his deep British accent.

You tried to calm down due to his pleasing touch. "Let's read together? Since you wanted to read it too. I mean you don't have t-" He placed his finger on your lips. "Don't be so nervous, it would be a pleasure to read with thee." (don't ask me why I used that word-)

You nodded and he took your hand, guiding you to an armchair. He sat down and glanced at you. You stood in front of him awkwardly. "What's the matter y/n?" Your name sounded like a melody in his mouth.

"Well if we want to read it together, it will be hard if we're far from each other." You said. He chuckled. "Perhaps you could sit on my lap?" You slightly opened your mouth and closed it. "Sure."

The fair man uncrossed his elongated legs, allowing you to sit properly. You've never been that close to Loki. You two actually barely saw each other but whenever he was in the room, you couldn't help but admire him. You may have developed a crush on the god, but you knew he wasn't sharing this feeling.

Loki opened the book and began to read. 'So shaken as we are, so wan with care, Find we a time for frighted peace to pant, And breathe short-winded accents of new broils To be commenced in strands afar remote.'

You loved his deep velvet voice, he managed to put the right emotions while reading. You could listen to him for eternity. You decided to shut your eyes and rested your head on his toned chest. He ceased to read.

"Darling what are you doing? I thought you desired reading?" He softly spoke. You nuzzled on the crook of his neck. "Your voice is soothing, please continue..." You almost whispered. Loki chuckled and placed a gentle kiss on the top of your head.

"In that case, I shall let you rest my dear." The man protectively wrapped his arms around your waist. "Thank you, Loki..." He placed the book down and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear, then delicately kissed your cheek.

Time skip

You felt Loki's light caresses on your face. The tip of his fingers was brushing against your face. You slowly opened your eyes. "Are you finally awake little one?" Asked softly the god. You hummed in response.

"For how long have I been sleeping?" You asked sleepily. "I would say for about an hour and a half." Answered Loki. You gasped. "I'm sorry I fell asleep, you should have woke me up." You said embarrassed.

He chuckled. "No worries angel, I appreciate having you nearby me. Besides, you look delightful when you're sleeping." Replied he.

"Y/n. I need to tell you something." You nodded. "I feel so much more than friendship towards you. I cannot avoid this feeling in my chest whenever I see you. I am happier when you're here and the simple fact of hearing your name lights up my mind."

Tears pricked the corner of your eyes. "I feel the same way...I love you Loki." He sighed in relief. "I'm glad you do. I love you, my dear." Replied he.
