      After the final battle, Bucky had enough of his long hair. Sure, he did love it, but he felt like going back to his short hair again. Besides, it was a way to make a fresh start and leave his past behind him. One day, when you two were cuddling on the sofa he asked you something you didn't expect.

"Doll?" You looked at him tenderly.

"Yes, love?"

"Erm... Do you think you can cut my hair? I don't want it to be long anymore."

"Of course Buck! But Morgan is going to be sad that she won't be able to braid your hair again." You said with a teasing grin.

"She just has to ask her dad to get her a mannequin head."

"Alright, get up White Wolf, let's chop this hair." You stepped inside the bathroom and took a pair of scissors from a cabinet, as well as a comb and other hair products. Bucky sat on a stool, gazing lovingly at you.

"You're beautiful y/n..." Your cheeks began to heat up, and you replied with a kiss on his cheek. You ran a hand through his silky hair. "I'm gonna miss it..."

Bucky took your hand and placed a kiss on your palm. "You're still gonna be able to play with my hair, I'm not asking for a buzzcut." Replied your lover, making you chuckle.

"I'm wondering how you would look if you were bald." You said, eying the hair clipper.

Bucky noticed the object you were looking at, causing his eyes to widen."Don't you dare doll." You laughed.

"Okay, okay, I'm not gonna leave you bald. Now sit still." You began to brush his hair and then started to cut it.

A few moments later, you were done. Your boyfriend looked at his reflection in the mirror and smiled.

"You've done an amazing job sweetheart. Thanks a lot, you're amazing."

You placed yourself behind him and wrapped your arms around his waist, admiring the handsome man."No problem honey. You look lovely."

After cleaning up the mess you've made in the bathroom, you and Bucky laid down on the couch.

"I love you doll, thank you for everything. Ever since I've been with you, I've never felt this happier in my life. I can't believe this is real." He said, gently stroking your cheek with his thumb.You smiled soflty.

"I love you too James, you're the best thing I could ever ask for." You kissed his lips and ran a hand through his now short hair. "I'll have to get used to this."

Bucky grinned and pulled you into a loving kiss again. "Do you think you can handle the fact that I won't be wearing a man bun anymore?" He asked with a smirk.

"I could still get you a wig." You replied with a laugh.

"Whatever makes you happy Mrs. Barnes..."
