This time I won't resume it because why not

     "Okay guys, someone is gonna come to the Tower today so please try to not break anything or act weirdly." Announced the billionaire.

"Coming from you that's kinda funny." Retorted the redhead. Tony rolled his eyes.

"Why would someone come? Are we in trouble? Did we do something wrong?" Asked a panicking Bruce.

"Relax big guy, this is gonna be a sort of a test to see if she can help us." Said Tony. "Oh so it's a she, interesting." Said Natasha nudging Steve.

"Oh come on don't start." The super soldier sighed. "I didn't say anything." Retorted the russian woman with a fake innocent smile.

A few hours later

The elevator ringed and the Avengers looked at it. When the doors opened, you stepped out. Taking off your sunglasses, you walked in and smiled.

The owner of the buiding came next to you. "Hello Y/n, glad to finally meet you." Said he shaking your hand.

You smirked. "I believe you, and the pleasure is all mine." You replied. Steve glanced at you with a confused look.

You took steps closer to him and held your hand out for him to shake. "Y/n Lightman, expert in detection of lies."

"So this explains why you said that. I'm Steve Rogers." You politely smiled before greeting the other members.

"But how can you know if someone's truly lying? No offence Miss but you seem pretty young, is there schools for that?" Asked the archer.

Nat shot him a death glare. "I learned from the best. My dad is Cale Lightman, director of the Lightman group. He helped the government several times and as his daughter I am very skilled in that discipline."

"You know, I can see every small expression on your face and therefore how you feel and if you're telling the truth. So lie to me I dare you." You retorted.

"See Legolas? She can be very useful during interrogations. Miss Lightman, care to show us your little power?" Said Stark.

"With pleasure. I need someone, any volunteer?" You asked. "Yes him!" Said the redhead pushing Steve towards you.

You stiffened a laugh. "Okay pretty boy come here." You ordered. He blushed a little and placed himself in front of you.

"What do I have to do?" Asked he. "I've got ten pictures, pick one and either lie about what you're seeing or tell the truth. I'll read you."

"Okay got it." Said he. "But first, we need stakes, without stakes it's hard to spot a lie because there's no fear about getting caught." You added.

"A hundred bucks and I can read you like a book." You said with a chuckle. "You don't have to put that much I insist!" Retorted the blond man.

"Very wise Mr Rogers... I can see you're sincere but it's the game." You replied. He sighed. "Alright let's get started." Said the super soldier.

"There's a woman, she's pretty. Blonde... Ponytail and big eyes. She's wearing a pale pink blouse."

"Do you like women Steve?" You asked making members laugh. "I do." You smirked. "I believe you."

"Okay you're telling the truth." You said. Steve smiled. "You're right congratulations." You took your dollars back. "One day, my dad did the same thing with a guy, turns out he was a psychopath."

The room fell silent. "When he described the woman, he showed no signs of desire so he asked him if he liked women and thought he was gay and therefore thought he was lying. However, the next picture was someone tied in a chair being tortured, his pupils were dilated which is a psychopath thing."

"Wow..." Said Banner. You clapped your hands and smiled. "Don't worry your soldier is perfectly fine, pupils were dilated and showed no signs of lies."

"I can even tell you they are when he looks at me." You said before heading to the kitchen.

Tony busted out laughing and slapped Steve's back. "So you're into the lady huh? I understand she's gorgeous. Go get her before it's too late." Whispered he.

The blond groaned and followed you. "Wait!" You turned around. "Mhm?" You smirked. "Nervous Rogers? You're playing  with your hands, no need to be scared I don't bite."

"I can't hide anything from you can I?" He said smiling. "Indeed."

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me tomorrow, I really want to see you again." Asked he.

"No detection of lie..." You chuckled. "Yes I  would gladly do that." He sighed in relief. "Is it always like that with you?" Asked he playfully.

"You haven't seen my dad...But yes." You answered. "Can I tell you something?" You nodded.

"Your pupils are dilated." He whispered in your ear making you turn red. "Learning fast I see."
