Warning: angst, I cried while writing-
Résumé: y/n gets shot on a mission and is on the verge of death...

     "Okay are you ready darling?" Asked Loki while you laced your boots. "Yup! I'll see you in a few hours, love you." You replied kissing him.

"Ugh, I wish I could've come..." Said he. You cupped his face. "I'll be fine honey." You replied softly. Loki placed a gentle kiss on your forehead and pulled you into a hug.

"I can't wait to see you tonight..." Mumbled Loki against your neck. "So do I." You replied.

Loki watched you as you were leaving the compound. He sighed and sat on a chair, a book in hand. Hours passed and Loki grew more anxious. "What if she got hurt? Who am I kidding she's the strongest woman I've ever seen." Said Loki to himself.

"I already miss her...Please come back soon love." Said he. Looking at his watch, he sighed in vain. After a few hours, Loki fell asleep.

That was until the door suddenly opened and panicked people entered.

His eyes opened within a second. He knew something was wrong, he could feel it. He knew it was about you, he knew something happened to you.

When you're truly connected with someone; when you deeply care and love them, if something goes wrong, you can feel it. The strong bond between two persons suddenly starts to fall to pieces, as one heartbeat starts to fade away.

At first, you think this isn't real, this is just a bad joke. Then, anger fills your body. After, it's bargaining. Later, you cry. Finally, you eventually accept it.

Loki fell on his knees when he saw Thor carrying your weak body. You were his everything, his heartbeat for you, he lived for you. The feeling was unbearable, it's like someone opened his chest and took his heart out.

"Y/n!" He ran towards his brother and took your cold hand in his. "No no no you can't leave me, not now!" His voice cracked and violent sobs escaped from his mouth.

"Listen, brother, I'm gonna take her to Asgard and ask the healers for some help." Said, Thor.

He nodded and after summoning the Bifrost, Loki and Thor, still holding your body ran into the castle. Frigga saw her sons and gasped when she noticed your frail figure.

"What happened?" Asked the queen rushing into the healer's room. "She got shot during a mission brother, we need the healers." Replied Thor.

The god of thunder placed you on the table and sat on a chair. "Brother, why don't you sit next to me?" Asked Thor.

Loki didn't reply, he continued to pace the room. "Try to calm down Loki, she's gonna be fine, we have the best healers in the Nine Realms here."

"How can you ask me to calm down when the love of my life is dying?! Do you really think that I'm gonna sit and wait like nothing happened? This woman is the best thing I could ever ask for! She showed me what love is, she made me laugh in the darkest moments.

So no, I won't sit with you Thor, not when I'm not sure that she will be fine." Tears escaped from Loki's eyes.

"I was supposed to propose tonight...She was supposed to be my wife, she was supposed to be the one I'll grow old with."

Frigga placed her hand on her son's shoulder. "I know this is hard for you my dear, but we are here for you. When she wakes up, you're gonna take that ring and ask her to marry you. Everything is gonna go well." Said she.

The queen took off one of her most precious rings and placed it in Loki's palm. "Here, take it my son. Your father gave it to me a long time ago and I always knew y/n was gonna be the one to wear it one day."

Loki collapsed into his mother's arms. "Thank you, mother...But how can you be so sure she's gonna be alright?" Said Loki through tears.

"Your love Loki. Love is the most powerful feeling, it can either destroy you or heal you. In that case, her heart burns with desire to hold you one last time." Said Frigga.

"I hope that you're right..." Said Loki wiping his tears.

This shouldn't happen, you couldn't die, not now. You had to live. Besides, you were still young. Life is unfair sometimes but it's the way it is.

Let me ask you something. Which flower would you pick in a garden? The prettiest. Now think about it, death can repeat this scheme, however with people. The best persons tend to leave sooner than expected.

Isn't this what makes life beautiful? So unexpected. You'll never know when your life will end. My only advice here is to tell the people you deeply care about that you love them. You'll never know when death
takes them away from you.

After seeing a white light at the very end of a dark corridor, your eyes opened. "Loki..." Your voice was weak but it didn't matter, you needed to see him.

Not even a second later, Loki ran towards you. "Y/n my love!" Said he crying. You cupped his face.

"You have beautiful tears." You said with a smile. Loki faintly chuckled. "Always seeing beauty everywhere..." Retorted Loki.

You know, someone once told me "You have beautiful tears" and I think this is a meaningful quote, even in pain and sadness there's beauty.

"God don't you dare to leave me..." Said Loki holding your hand. He then remembered what his mother told him. "Marry me." He said out of the blue.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want to see our kids grow with you. I want to be with you as much as I can, I want you, I need you."

A tear slipped on your cheek. "A little unexpected but yes, I want to be your wife." You replied smiling. Loki slid the ring on your finger and kissed your forehead. "I love you..." Said he. "I love you too..."

I feel like this one is a little more different than the others since I wrote things in between but I really like it

It's really emotional and is personal at some point for me lol but that's why I love it, I hope you did too :)
