The story is about young Howard because I have to say I simp for him-
Also if you didn't watch Agent Carter you should definitely give it a try! (The following events don't have the storyline of the serie btw)

-40's-

     When you heard that Steven Grand Rogers died, you immediately flew back to America in order to comfort your old friend: Peggy Carter.

"Peggy!" You said as you spotted her in the crowd of people. "Y/n, how are you doing? It's been a long time god I missed you..." Retorted the brunette woman. You pulled her into a hug. "I'm the one supposed to ask you how you are. But yes thank you I'm fine, a little tired but happy to see you."

"Well I'm trying to move on, it can be hard sometimes but otherwise I'm quite good." Replied Peggy. "I'm gonna hail a cab, I'll take you to the house of a friend of mine. Is it okay for you? Don't worry he's very sweet and his wife will love you."

You nodded. "Your friends are mine!" You retorted with a smile. You arrived in front of a huge mansion. "Wow..." You said looking out of the window. "There's also Howard's mansion, basically this is Stark's residence." Said Peggy.

You had met Howard just a few times but didn't really liked him, always with women. You got out of the car and took your case. A tall man appeared with a redhead by his side. She practically ran towards you.

"Peggy! Oh and you must be y/n, I'm glad to see you, Peg told me a lot about you!" Said the woman pulling you into a hug. You looked at Peggy with a weird look and she chuckled.

"Silly me I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Ana, Edwin's wife, nice to meet you." Said the woman you now knew as Ana.

"I am Edwin Jarvis but you can call me Jarvis." Said the man holding his hand out. You shook it and smiled. "Y/n y/l/n." Peggy clapped her hands. "Now that everyone knows each other let's get inside shall we?"

You nodded and were about to take your case but Jarvis grabbed it first. "Let me take it miss y/l/n, you're the guest." He smiled and so did you. "Thank you Jarvis that's really sweet." You replied.

Once you got inside, a man was sitting on a chair, reading the news. He lowered the paper and looked at you before getting up. "Who's this pretty lady?" Said he. The brunette man walked towards you, took your hand and placed a kiss on top of it.

"I feel like I know you...I'm Howard Stark but you probably already know it." You rolled your eyes. "Maybe it's because we met before?" You said with a fake smile. "Oh I'm sorry, I've seen a lot of people so it's hard to recognize them sometimes."

"It's fine."You sighed. "However I'm sure I'll remember such a pretty face like yours." Retorted the man. You glanced at Peggy, begging for a little help. "Anyway, Howard why don't you take her stuff in her room? I'll show her the house."

"Alright. See you around then, I look forward to." He said adding a wink. When you and Peggy were alone, you sighed. "Is he always like that? Gosh that's why I hate men like him." Peggy chuckled.

"With time you'll see him differently, at first he flirts a lot but he's a good man deep inside." Said she, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Well it must be really deep inside then." You retorted before exchanging a look with her and burst out laughing.

"I hope you're right Peg...I hope you're right." You said looking at Howard who were already coming back.

A few years later

"Jarvis have you seen Howard?" You asked worriedly. "I'm afraid he left an hour ago." Replied your friend. You buried your head in your hands. "I swear if he dies I'm gonna kill him. I need to call Peggy."

You ran in the house and made your way towards the phone. After quickly dialling her number you waited impatiently. "Come one pick up pick up pick up!" You were nervously taping your foot.

"Hey y/n is there something wrong?" Asked she. "Yes! Did you know Howard left an hour ago? I told him to wait and this stubborn moron left without me knowing it."

A silence settled. "Tell me you didn't know." You retorted. "Y/n... You know he would have go anyway." Said she. "So you knew." You said bitterly. "It's dangerous! There's men with him right? He could be killed!"

"Yes don't worry he went with someone." Replied softly Margaret. You sighed. "Do you think this is gonna be long?" You asked anxiously. "I don't know, maybe a few hours?" Answered Peggy.

"I apologize y/n Jack is calling me I have to go. Don't worry too much I know this is gonna go well, see you later love you." Said she. "See ya...Love you too Peg." You then hung up.

Minutes felt like hours. You were looking through the windows every second, hoping you'll see the fool you grew to love.

You sighed. Suddenly, you heard a car. You got up and ran outside. Howard difficultly got out of the car, that's when you noticed the wound on his leg. Your eyes widened. "Howard!" You yelled as you made your way towards him.

"Are you okay?!" You asked worriedly. "Hi there beautiful..." He retorted with a faint smile. "Don't worry I'm fine it's just a scratch." Said he. "God you scared me...You could have died you idiot!"

"Y/n, always overreacting I see-" You cut him off by kissing him deeply. He tensed at first but rapidly melted into the kiss.

Howard wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer. You pulled away breathless. "Wow...So you do like me?" Said Howard smirking. You slapped his shoulder. "Of course I do moron."

You sighed and felt tears forming in your eyes. "I was really scared you know...Why didn't you tell me?" He cupped your face and stroked your cheek. "I knew you wouldn't approve so I left. Besides, I would rather be yelled at only once by you."

You chuckled and he smiled. "There it is..." You tilted your head. "What?" You asked not knowing what he was talking about. "There it is, the smile I fell in love with." He retorted with a sweet smile making your cheeks turn red.

Howard placed a gentle kiss on your forehead. "I love you but my leg is bleeding so..." Your eyes widened. "Yeah sorry let's get inside!" You retorted, helping him to walk. You leaned in and whispered. "I love you too." You smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I knew it!" Screamed Ana catching you off guards.
