Warning: none, just awkwardness and cuteness

"So... How did you guys meet?" You smiled at the question as your mind replayed the events in your head.

*flashbacks*

You were in London for two weeks. Staying at a hotel, you were sitting on your bed while reading a nice book after you've taken a shower. When you turned towards your nightstand to turn the light off, you spotted a giant spider.

You instantly got up and grabbed a shoe to kill it... in vain. You sighed and stared at the monster, hoping it wouldn't go away. You crossed your arms over your chest.

"Alright, can you please not crawl on me in my sleep? We could be friends you know? Just don't go near me." You shook your head. "Am I really talking to a spider?" You sat on your bed but couldn't look away from the huge insect.

"Yeah no I can't actually sleep with you here I'm sorry." You looked at your phone. "10:30 PM, maybe I could ask for some help." You got up and glanced at the mirror trying to look somehow presentable.

"What if you have children? I can't just take your life because you're scary, this isn't fair... Beauty privilege is real even for insects damnit." You said with a chuckle.

"Alright, I won't kill you but I'll get you out of here, at least I'll try to." You spotted an empty glass on a table and took it. Stepping towards the spider, you stopped and sighed.

"I can't do it." You put on the first pair of shoes you could find and left your room.
Standing in the corridor, you stood there, questioning your life's choices.

"Alright let's try the room in front of mine, hoping I won't wake someone up or meet a psychopath who's gonna try to kill me. Though technically I could be the psycho one since I'm going to ask someone to enter my room. Anyway, I need to shut up."

After this mid-life crisis, you finally knocked on the door. You waited for a few seconds until you heard noises inside, meaning someone was most likely coming.

When it opened, you were met with a tall and handsome man. He had gorgeous brown eyes and the prettiest smile you've ever seen. You awkwardly smiled.

"Hi, um... Okay so this might be weird to ask but there is a gigantic spider in my room and I don't want to kill it but I won't be able to get it out by myself so I don't know what to do. Maybe you could help me? God, I sound desperate. I honestly won't be able to sleep with this next to my bed. I am rambling sorry. You know what it's fine I'll deal with it myself have a good night sir." You turned around, mentally punching yourself.

You heard a laugh and then felt a soft hand gently grabbing your wrist. "First of all, hello to you too. Then, I don't mind helping you, it kinda is my job." The man seemed familiar but you couldn't figure out yet who he was.

"I'm Sam, you are?" He said as he put his hand out for you to shake. "I'm y/n, nice to meet you, Sam." You smiled and suddenly, the pieces came together. "Sam as in Sam Wilson? You're Captain America! I can't believe I didn't recognize you earlier. You've done a lot for us so thank you. And I'm rambling again I'm so sorry now you're gonna think I'm some psycho."

He let out a chuckle. "It's fine y/n don't worry. By the way, this is really sweet thank you. Now let's see the monster I'm supposed to fight." He replied with a smirk.

You opened your door and handed him the glass you had put on a counter. "Where is it?" He asked as you pointed towards your nightstand. He got closer and glanced at you with a worried look.

Your eyes widened. "Oh no don't tell me it's gone. I knew it was gonna leave as soon as I turned my back." You sighed in defeat. Sam began to laugh.

"I'm messing with you, it still is here. Can you open the window please?" He said smirking. You gave him a playful glare. "Not really cool of you Cap." You opened the window and looked at Sam with the glass containing the huge spider.

"I can't believe you wanted to kill Spiderman..." He said with a grin. You laughed and shook your head. "Thanks once again, Sam. I'm sorry to bother you with this, maybe you were sleeping and I disturbed you."

"Y/n it's totally fine I wasn't sleeping. Besides, I'm glad I could help a lovely woman like you. Though a spider changes from the villains I have to fight. But what can I say? It's good to have diversity." He replied.

Your cheek flushed when you realized how close you were standing to him. "I should probably get going now. It was great meeting you, maybe tomorrow we could go grab a coffee together? If you want of course." He asked sympathetically.

"Yeah, I would love that!" You replied smiling. "Alright, I'll be in front of your door at 9:30. Sleep well y/n, and don't hesitate to call me if you need help with eight-legged intruders." He teased.

"Yeah, I will. Goodnight Sam, see you tomorrow." You replied. The man took your hand and gently placed a soft kiss on the back of it before leaving you in a blushing mess.

Current time

"I thank this spider every day before going to bed now." You joked as you looked at Sam.

"This spider was definitely a matchmaker."
