One Night Surprise

64(Yara)

A text pop on my phone.
The name of my new bodyguard appears.
He wants to know if I need him this time.
Then I replied "no."
I don't want to get attach easily to anyone. I've learned it from Jeffer.
This cold-hearted man is driving me crazy. He ditch me always and I was like making a fool on myself.
Nakakasawa ng unawain si Jeffer dumagdag pa ang pinsan niyang si Justin na panay hinaharass ako.
Definitely they hated each other now I regret it to like him first.
Suddenly my phone ring.
Its Jeffer he is calling me.
"The heck!" I'm upset of him lalo na hindi niya ako sinipot sa pagsusukat ng gown. I feel like I was a clown that day. I can't refuse to ignore that day dahil alam ko mapapahiya ang mommy ni Jeffer kung hindi ako pupunta doon.
That's why I call my bodyguard para lang may makasama ako.
I ignore his call but he keeps calling me I decided to mute my phone.
"Miss Yara the meeting will be starting." My secretary announce.
"Ok, I'll be going."
Papunta na ako sa board meeting when there's a text pop up on my phone and it says, "Did you ignored my call purposely Yara?"

Now you know how it feels to get ignored Jeffer. I thought to myself.

I was putting my phone on my pocket when it pop a text message again.

"I'm sorry for ditching you Yara."

I hate it when my heart soften with that sorry word he said.

"Miss Yara we should go." My secretary said.
"Let's go." I nod.

Almost an hour natapos rin ang board meeting.
I was in the hallway walking when my phone vibrates again.
When I see the name of Jeffer flashes on my phone screen I instantly put my phone back in my pocket.

"Miss Yara."
Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa pangalan ko then I saw RJ.
"What are you doing here?"
"Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sayo miss Yara sa pagtulong mo sa akin." He said.
I turn my gaze to my secretary I don't want her to know that I payed this man's debt from the loan shark that harasses him.
"You can take your lunch now."
"Yes miss Yara." Tapos umalis na yung secretary ko.
I gaze back to RJ.
"About that can you keep it to yourself." Hindi ko gustong malaman ng iba na naglabas ako ng 2M para lang bayaran ang utang ng bodyguard ko out of pity. Dala ng awa kaya nagawa ko yun, alam ko kasi yung feeling na hinaharass when I know I can do something about it kaya tinulungan ko si RJ.
"Yara." I know that familiar voice.
Out of no where dumating si Jeffer.
"What are you doing here?!" He was glaring to my bodyguard.
Are they have known each other?
Napansin ko ang mga pasa sa mukha ni Jeffer.
"Obligado ba ako sagutin ang tanong mo." RJ glaring back to Jeffer.
"He is my new bodyguard."
"What?!  You hired him? Did you know what kind of person he is?!" Jeffer complaining.
"What are you talking about? As long as he doesn't have a criminal record he is qualified to be my bodyguard."I interrupt.
"Did you see yourself? What happened to your face?" I added.
"Did you know this guy punch me the other day." He complains.
"Baka gusto mo dagdagan ko yang pasa sa mukha mo." RJ said.
"Really?! You want a fight?" Jeffer getting pissed.
I don't have time for this nonsense bickering of them I need to stop them before its getting worse.
"Jeffer pumunta ka lang ba dito para awayin ang bodyguard ko?" I rolled my eyes.
"Fired him! I don't want him to be your bodyguard!"
"What?! Are you giving me an orders now?" Sometimes I hate him when he dictates me what to do.
"Let's talk somewhere else." He tries to calm his self.
I don't know why Jeffer hated RJ so much.
"Fine let's talk somewhere else and RJ you can go home now."
"Yes po miss Yara." RJ said.

We are in a restaurant but I'm not ordering anything.
I examine his face and where the heck he gets that bruises.
"What do you want to eat?" He ask.
"You said you want to talk, what is it?"
"I know you are mad at me and I'm sorry Yara."
"How many sorry do I have to hear from you Jeffer I dont see the value of it if you keep repeating your mistakes."
"I'm sorry for dragging you in my miserable life Yara."
"Your face, what happened to your face?"
"I've got into fight." He guilty answer.
"With who? Did my bodyguard did that to you?"
"Maybe he was."
"What?!." I concernedly look at him.
"Actually I don't know who punch me in the club I was drunk that night."
"Why did you ditch me that day? May nangyari ba sayo nung araw na yun Jeffer?"
He can't manage to look me in the eyes but in the end he got courage.
"I saw Miu that day."
I blow a disappointed smile.
It hurting me inside knowing that I will never be his first priority.
"Did you just enjoy hurting my feelings?"
"No."  He reach my hand but I refuse it.

Why I felt like my heart broke when I try to fix yours.

"If you don't have anything to say to me I will leave now I have something to do."
"Yara I promise I will try to making up on you."
Did he just said that to make me feel better. I know in the end he always said that but he will never do it.

I want to go somewhere else because I was so much upset of what I heard from Jeffer.
I texted my secretary that I will go home early. I don't want to go back in my office.
I decided to check on the kids. It's been a while nung pumunta ako doon and I need to catch-up on what is happening to the foundation if kailangan ba ng extra fund for some renovation.
I feel happiness when I see their innocent smiles and they are always excited to see me.
"Miss Yara napadalaw po kayo?"
I was at the office of Miss Dileriba.
"I just want to see if the kids practice well."
She was delightful to hear me.
"The kids will be happy if they see you Miss Yara we can go to the practice room now.
I nod as I smile on her.
"Anyway did you already find a replacement teacher?"
"Yes Miss Yara we found one and I can tell that she will become an outstanding teacher to the students."
"Really."

Miss Dileriba open the practice room for me when we got there.
"Miss Yara she is the new teacher I was talking to you."
I was on the state of shock when I see Miu.
The new teacher is Miu?! I can't believe I will see Miu here.
I can see the face of Miu she's not expecting to see me it is reflected in the mirror. They are in the middle of the rehearsal.
"Class we will take a break for now." Miu announce.
The kids turn and run to approach me as I expected.
"Miss Yara masaya kaming nandito ka po."
They started to call my name one by one it was like they want my attention.
I was patting their heads and pinch their cute chubby faces.
"Eat your snacks in the Cafeteria go on." I said.
"Yes po Miss Yara."  The kids response.
I smile looking at them rushing towards the door out.
"Are you okay Miss Yara? Are they making so much noises." Miss Dileriba said.
"I'm fine."
"Miss Miyagi can you join us here I want you to meet the founder of this foundation Miss Yara Lim."
Miu and I are awkwardly staring to each other. 
Miu forward her hand to give me a hand shake.
A seconds of doubtful thought if I will take it. Is she pretending that she doesn't know me.?
"Miss Yara is there any problem?" Miss Dileriba Intervention.
"Nothing." I said then Miu and I shake a hands. I decided to set aside the confliction we had.
"Nice meeting you Yara Lim." I can see the fiercely eyes looking at me.
"Miu Miyagi I'm surely will remember your name."
I parted the hand.
"Miss Yara I'm gladly to inform you that there will be a recital next week and we would like to invite you." Miss Dileriba interrupt.
"Miss Dileriba I will check my schedule if I'm available but thank you for the invitation."
"Miss Miyagi is doing a great job here and I know for sure the recital will be a wonderful. She once got a big role in a play in New York." Miss Dileriba compliments Miu.
"Really. So what are you doing here in a low profit school when there's a big opportunities waiting for you out there Miss Miyagi." I said.
"Did you want my reasons to feed your curiosity." Miu blurted.
"I want to help these kids too." She added.
"Great! We are bond to help these kids." Miss Dileriba breaking the tension.
"May I excuse." Miu interrupt.
"Go on Miss Miyagi." Miss Dileriba added.
Tapos tumalikod na si Miu at naglakad na ito papunta sa upuan kung saan nakalagay ang water bottle nito.
Suddenly I spotted something on her neck there's a red spot on it. Is that a birthmark?! I'm pretty sure I've seen that kind of birthmark somewhere but I can't remember.
"Miss Yara about the renovation can we discuss it in the office."
"Okay, I would like to hear it." I nod and turn my gaze to Miss Dileriba.

"Yara, I've signed the funds you need for the renovation for the school." My dad giving back the papers. Kailangan ko pa rin ang consent ni Daddy about sa funds ng foundation dahil sa ang LiCorp ang major sponsor ng school. We are in our house and there is a designated room of Dad which is like his office when mom barges in bringing a platter of fruits.
"What paper is that?" Mom get curious. If she will know that its a fund for the foundation I'm sure she will never support it. Si daddy at ako lang ang may gusto na ipatayo ang school kahit pa wala namang malaking profit na makukuha doon.
"Honey its a paper I need to signed for the salary increase." Dad smiling at me.
"Are you two having a secret from me?" Mom being suspicious.
"Honey why would you say that." He stand up to approach and hug mom.
"I know you Ronaldo that you can't say no to your daughter." Mom blurted but I know she is enjoying the hug. I smile looking at them.
"What are you waiting for? Come here my sweet daughter." Mom said.
I joined in a hug.
