One Night Surprise

Mom and I are in the dining table eating breakfast ng may biglang inabot na folder si mommy sa akin.

"Here take a look."

Binuksan ko ang folder at nakita ang profile ni Yara Lim.

"Para saan to?" I tossed the folder a side.

"As if I care." I mumbled.

"Do you know Yara is doing internship in designing company that deals with luxurious dresses." Mom begun to discuss about Yara.

I can't believe what I heard she's working in the designing team. That nerd girl that doesn't have a fashion taste in herself. What an ironic.

"I heard she graduated with honors." She added.

"And? Why are you talking about this mom?"

"Kailangan mong kilalanin ang mapapangasawa mo." She said.

"Jeffer gusto ko maglunch kayo ni Yara puntahan mo siya sa workplace niya." She suggested.

I pretend I didn't hear what she said.
I quickly finished my food and kiss her goodbye.

"Don't forget what I said."

I was in my office doing paper works sinusubukan ko magpakabusy para lang hindi sumagi sa isip ko kung gaano ko na namimiss si Miu.

Nang biglang nakaramdam ako ng gutom.
I sighed heavily looking at the paperwork. Karamihan sa papel mga kontrata na kailangan lang permahan pero hindi ako yung tipo ng tao na basta na lang piperma ng hindi nagbabasa. Kaya ang ending mahabahabang basahan.

I grabbed my coat and decide to take a break.
I was in my car when mom texted me.
She annoyed me with the idea na kailangan kung sunduin si Yara.
When mom didn't get a reply she call me and now my phone is ringing.

"Hi mom."

"I send you the address where Yara is doing internship." 

"Mom, please I don't want to see her."

"Jeffer please pagbigyan mo ako this time."

"But mom."

"Please son. Time na rin to na magmove on ka na kay Miu huwag mong isarado ang sarili mo kay Yara."

"Fine."

Why mom suddenly said that bigla tuloy kumirot ang dibdib ko. Kumusta na kaya si Miu, ano kaya ang ginagawa niya, tapos na ba siya kumain mga tanong nasumasagi sa isipan ko. Last time I check bumalik na si Miu sa NY.

I read the address that mom texted.

I re-route my car.

I was about to enter in the lobby when I saw the large plated silver name of the company.

"LiCorp." I mumbled.

I was in the clerk desk asking what floor is the designing team located.
The girl and the clerk desk is smiling and checking the floor list.

"It's in the 28th floor sir."

"Thank you."

I was in the elevator ng may makasabay akong dalawang babae.

"Aish, I don't want the food in the cafeteria. Gusto ko kumain ng pasta." The dark hair girl said.

"Nakakasawa na nga yung pagkain sa cafeteria nakakairita pa yung bagong intern." The blonde girl said.

"Si Yara?" The other girl laughs.

"Nakakairita hindi siya bagay sa designing team hindi naman magaling." The blonde girl said.

"Kung utusan kaya natin siya na lang bumili ng pagkain." Blonde girl added.

"Ang harsh mo girl balita ko hindi raw yun nakakain ng lunch noong isang araw kasi panay utos mo." The black hair girl laugh again.

Seriously?! This two idiots conversation is getting into my nerve.
How pathetic Yara is hinahayaan niya lang na tratuhin siya ng mga kasamahan niya na parang basura.
I feel sorry to Yara.
This two idiots would be surprised if they know that nerd owns this company. I'll bet they gonna kneels in front of her if they knew.

"Psst! Don't say that hindi lang tayo ang tao sa elevator." The blonde girl trying to be saint but she's a pure evil.

I glared at them.

"Don't get me wrong mister handsome  I'm not that cruel person it's just that Yara girl is a witch." The blonde girl explained.

I smirked at them and they smile back at me.

Bumukas na ang elevator.
Nauna na silang lumabas at nakasunod naman ako sa likuran nila.

"Yara saan ka pupunta?" They caught Yara in the hallway.

"Ms. Gina balak ko na sana maglunch."

"Hey! Bumili ka muna ng lunch namin." That blonde girl named Gina said.

I walked pass to them at inakbayan si Yara and she is startled and got surprised.

"Let's go!"

"Magkakilala kayo?" Gina surprise said at napatakip na lang ng bibig yung isa pang girl.

"Come on, lets eat lunch."

Only nod Yara can reply. We walked pass to the two idiots.

We were at the restaurant and Yara is still staring at me.

"Anong gusto mong kainin?" I flipped the menu.

"Ha? Bakit gusto mo maglunch?" She asked.

"Nagugutom ako."

"I mean bakit gusto mo maglunch na kasama ako."

"Here." I handed the menu para tumigil na siyang kakatanong.

"Pumili ka na ng makakain kung ano yung pinili mo yun din yung kakainin ko."

"Ok."

"Gusto ko ang grilled Salmon nila dito."  She said.

I signal the waiter to pick up our order.

"Two grilled Salmon and two white wine."

"Copy sir."

Yara handed the menu to the waiter.

"Are you comfortable with your clothes?" I checked her clothes.

Halata naman mamahalin ang suot niya pero hindi lang talaga bagay sa pagkakamatch ng damit.

"May mali ba sa suot ko?"

Seriously? Kailan ba siya pinanganak.

"Hired some fashion consultant I dont want to get embarrassed if someone knew you are my future wife."

She remained silent.

"Sorry about the said arrangement."

"If you are so sorry please be pleasing in my eyes and that eyeglasses, will you please wear contact lens."

"Are those two talking about me?"

"Ha?"
I'm confused a little then I realized she means those two idiots coworkers of her.

"That two idiots? Yeah they talk bad about you."

She remained silent.

After we ate lunch she's sitting silently in the car.

"Are you upset in me by telling you those things if you are upset you can hate me then."

"Please drive me back to the LiCorp." She said.

"Fine."

When we arrived at the LiCorp before she get down on the car she let a heavy sighed.
