One Night Surprise

"Come here." Prey tapped the side of the bed.
Confusion came into his face.
She rolled her eyes.
"Nakakaawa ka tingnan sa couch."
"You want me to sleep with you?"
"I want you to sleep beside me." She sigh.
He can't believe what he heard coming from his wife.
"Fine, if you don't like you can go back to your couch." Her tone is slightly annoyance.
"Nope, I want to sleep beside you." He answered quickly.
She furrowed her eyebrows like suspecting something of his sudden answer.
"For the baby." He reasoned.
"Fine." She said nonchalantly.

Hindi maintindihan ni Prey kung bakit bigla na lang nagbago ang pakikitungo niya kay LJ. Dala lang kaya ng awa ang nararamdaman niya. She is confused.

Prey put pillows in the middle.
"This is our boundaries and I don't want you to cross over. Got it!" She commanded.
"Yeah, yeah wife." LJ answer.
He bit his lips when he realized he called Prey his wife.
Prey don't have energy to fight LJ kaya she let it slide for now.

6:30 am. LJ peered in his watch to check the time. He sleep left side of the bed. He looks to the right side of the bed pero wala si Prey.
"Is she already awake." He mumbled.
It's there 3rd day in Japan. He slowly moved out of the bed.

He walks to the living room pero hindi niya nakita si Prey.
"Where is she?"
Agad naman pumunta si LJ sa kitchen but still no presence of Prey.
Now he is worried.
He remembered what happened last night. Kaya ba bigla siyang naging mabait sa akin dahil ba iiwanan na niya ako kinabukasan. LJ sighed deeply feeling down suddenly at the thought of it.

He got out and stood outside of the veranda. Parang gusto ng umiyak ni LJ sa pagkakataon na ito. Kung sana noon pa naging matapang siya sana hindi si RJ ang minahal ni Prey kundi siya.

(Flashback)
Sa State nag-aral si LJ ng grade 4 hanggang sa naghighschool ito doon. Bumalik lang siya sa Pilipinas noong nagcollege na.

He hate the fact na kailangan niyang iwanan si Prey sa Pilipinas. Anyway he is not the one to decide it dahil ang magulang niya ang may gusto na mamalagi muna sila sa State.

He lost his contact with Prey that time. Actually he has Prey's number pero hindi niya alam kung paano niya sisimulang mangumusta dito. He remembered hindi maganda ang pag-alis niya sa Pilipinas that time because Prey was upset about it.

When he graduated high school nagkaroon siya ng lakas ng loob na macontact si Prey pero saka naman ito nagpalit ng number. Ang mundo na rin siguro ang ayaw na magkita sila muli.

"I think it's time for us to go back in the Philippines." His dad said. They are having breakfast.
He stares to his daddy Ramon trying to figure out what he means.
"You force us to stay here and now you want us to go back.I can't believe how selfish you are." Lara being annoyed having a thought losing her friends. Katulad ni LJ hindi rin gusto ni Lara na mamalagi sa States. Ganun pa man madali itong nakaadapt sa environment. Marami na rin itong mga kaibigan sa States at hindi na gusto pang bumalik sa Pilipinas.
"Watch your mouth young lady. You are being rude to your father." Their mother Lina warned her.
And now Lara starting to lost her appetite and now acting like a brat playing her spoon over her food.
"Dad what do you mean?" LJ with confusing face.
"Alam ko gusto niyo ng umuwi sa Pilipinas at doon na rin kaayo mag-aaral."
"Your tito Conrad send this to me." Kinuha ni Ramon ang cellphone niya at may ipinakitang picture ng school building.
"Dito rin nag-aaral si DP. What do you think? Sabi ni Conrad maganda naman ang facilities ng school actually isa ito sa mamahaling school sa Pilipinas."
"I can't believe this!" Lara walks away.
She is the pain in butt of the family.
LJ smiled as a thought na makikita na niya muli si Prey.
Siya lang ang sumama sa daddy niya pauwi ng Pilipinas habang si Lara naiwan sa States kasama ng mommy nila. First hindi maunawan ni LJ ang sudden decision ng daddy niya na umuwi ng Pilipinas pero kung ano man ang rason kung bakit nagbago ang isipan ng daddy niya ay nagpapasalamat siya dito.
