"You would be late Shaan. You should have woken up on time!" Alia growled as she hurried around the house to find her car keys.

Yes, car keys. She had learned how to drive.

"Would you hurry?" She hollered to her brother who was in a panic as well.

They made it to the school five minutes before the bell rang.
Alia's mother had gone to her mother's house after her surgery. Pujita had considered Aliya to be grown enough to take care of herself and her brother for a week at least.
And this week have been a disaster.
Alia had burned 3 meals in two days and Shaan had not even caught the bus once. He was late daily.

The breakfast was Kellogg's and dinner was street food. Lunch had been a luxury.

Instead of driving back to the house, she drove to the lake for a walk. It was long overdue. It had just been three days that her mother was gone to her grandmother's house she was responsible for a house that had only three rooms and had two people in whole.

Also, the stupid maid stopped coming.

The air was cool and her jacket helped a bit but she relished the cold. It was her favourite weather.

She stopped when she heard it.

Someone had whistled.

But I might not be what I am thinking about, she shrugged and moved forward.

*Whistle*

"Okay that's it," she muttered and turned around. "What's your-"

"What's what?" Arman raised his eyebrows and repeated back.

"Why'd you whistle?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Cuz' my girlfriend's hot." He winked.

Arrow to the heart. She looked away and cleared her throat. "Wanna Walk?" She nudged her head ahead to which he nodded. Jogging up to her, he snatched her hand and they walked together.

"I thought you didn't like morning walks. You always said that you are more of a gym guy."

Because I knew You were Here. He shrugged, "I just wanted to clear my mind. The business has kind of been tough."

"How so?" She asked curious about it. "I thought your father was helping you."

"He was." He agreed. "But that was when I was doing my MBA. Now that I have almost graduated he has stopped. It's more like I am on my own now and he just helping where he sees fit." Then he looked at her with no expressions on his face, "Which is never."

She giggled, "Well, he must trust you for it."

He nodded. "He does. otherwise, I swear to God that shrude man would not have even let me in."

She smiled and fell silent, enjoying the soft breeze and his presence. It made her calm.

"So what are you doing today?" He asked after some time as they continued walking together.

She hummed. "I don't know. I don't have many classes, so probably would go home after that." She answered honestly. "Things have been boring since it's the beginning of a new semester."

"They usually are." He agreed. Glancing at the time, he knew he had to get back but didn't wanna leave her alone so, "you should get going now. It's after eight and you have to get ready and come back for college." He gently reminded her.

He had a point so she nodded and turned around to walk back. He smiled looking at her, she was a little on the submissive side naturally and he loved it.

It was perfect.

**********

"It's so boring. Why can't they tell us if they're not going to come?" Shreya three her bag down as she complained about the teachers and took a seat next to Alia in the library. "Plus, why are you sitting here?"

Alia answered in an equally hushed tone as well. "Because it's quiet and if I go to the canteen I would end up eating a lot of things."

"What are you reading?" She checked, "The notebook? You always cry." She frowned whereas Alia just shrugged.

"No reason. Sometimes I just want to have a good cry."

"Why would you?" Shreya whispered back. "You have a sexy boyfriend, he doesn't even look at other girls and he is the most handsome guy with money and most importantly he knows how to use it. You have everything anyone would ever want in the boyfriend department."

Alia blushed and looked away. The college had brought new opportunities and some of them were staying out of the house late which had further given Alia opportunities to be with Arman.

She blushed more as she remembered what had happened last time.

"Yeah..well.." She cleared her throat. "My mums at my grandmother's house and it's been hell. I have to cook and clean and make sure my brother is on time to school which has been a hassle and also, I have burned down 3 meals in the last two days."

"How long has she been gone?" Shreya asked as she sneaked a piece of gum into her mouth.

Alia sighed. "Two days."

"Wow," Shreya snickered. "No comments."

"Don't tell me about it." Alia sighed and checked her phone which had just vibrated. "What's up with Abhinav?" She asked Shreya who was on her phone too.

"I think..here it is." She read the message out loud. "Parking lot in 10 minutes. No Classes confirmed. Party from my side for my new car."

"Well," Alia packed up her stuff. "I'm down. I am in no way in hell rejecting free and unburned food." She hurried out. It was good food time.

Reaching the parking lot she saw that all of the gang was already there.
Shreya, Abhinav, Simranpreet and Karan and then her too.

"What now?" Simranpreet jumped in and put his arm around Alia's and Karan's shoulders. "because I am sure as hell not sitting in someone's car when I'm on my bullet today."

Alia teased, "I thought after you failed your exam your father took it away for good?"

"Don't let me live Alia. Kill me already." He muttered looking at her distastefully. "Just tell me where you are going I'll reach there."

Abhinav told him the address and opened the passenger door for Alia who laughingly thanked him unknown of the person who had been keeping an eye on the scene.
