It was the sixth day of her mother's visit and so far everything had been normal and up to the mark despite the short circuits, burning of utensils also a few clothes getting burnt while ironing them but the rest was alright.

Alia was sure that her mother won't mind these tiny little mistakes that she made.

"Di," Shaan came in with his phone in his hand, "Grandma and Mumma are on call."

"Hi!" She immediately put the phone to her ear excited to talk to her mother.

"Video call." Her brother corrected with a snicker.

She glared and took the phone away from her ear and then spoke keeping it in front of her. "Hello, how are you all?" She placed the phone on the table from which they could see both Shaan and Alia.

"Good good," Alia's grandmother spoke and leaned into the phone to watch Alia with a keen eye. "You have gained weight." She commented looking at her.

Alia pouted and lifted her top little. She palmed the belly that she had gained in the recent months and shook it. "Seems so.." she commented as she jiggled it. "Jiggly bell."

"Woah you look pregnant!" Shaan commented as soon as he entered the room and saw Alia's belly.

She rolled her eyes. It wasn't that much.

"What?!" Her grandmother overreacted not understanding that Sean had merely made a joke. "Who is it?! You have to marry him!"

Alia rolled her eyes and jiggled her fat. "The father could be.. dominos, KFC, McDonald's, super doughnuts. I would say.... burger king but to be honest, I haven't visited him that much and I think it could be subway too.." she pouted. "I am not exactly sure who caused this."

She pulled her top down and turn around to look at the phone when she did not receive a reply. "What happened?"

She asked her mother.
Her mother rolled her eyes, "She went to pray for you."

"She should." Shaan agreed.

********

Her mother's stay had extended at her grandmother's who due to her old age could not recover that quickly and still needed help. Since Pujita had a lot of sick leaves this year Alia and Shan had readily agreed to let her stay with her mother and help her out.

If Alia was in a similar position she would have wanted her kids to agree as well.

And as for Armaan, she had been avoiding him for the past two days since the happening at the mall.
She had no idea what had come over him all of a sudden and he had changed from a warm and happy guy to a cold and scary one in a matter of seconds.

So she didn't want to talk to him. She did not pick up his calls not did she even see his messages and whenever he tried to visit her house Shaan always told him that she was out doing... Something.

That idiot was the biggest liar but when it came to the time for a good reason he was always out of excuses.

She also knew for a fact that he won't be able to pursue her for long since after joining the office as he had very little time for all of this stuff.
Today's college was anything but eventful. They had carried on with their classes and the last one was free as the principal had called the meeting for all the commerce department members.

Instead of going home immediately, Alia had decided to do some of the assignments in the college itself which she was successful in and she had completed two in one hour. Now all that was left what to presentations that she had to do on her laptop.

She sighed and packed her things. Giving out another tired sigh, she finally got up and walked towards the door pulling it only to find it locked. She checked the time immediately.
It was four in the evening which was still early for the teachers to close the library.

She held the handle and pulled on it again but no use. She looked up and confirmed that the door was locked from outside and she had no choice but to call someone.

"Hello?" She banged on the door. "Someone there?" She yelled but didn't receive any answer.

She clicked her tongue and took out her phone. The most irritating thing about this college was its library was placed in an area where there was no, no network coverage. She wondered how the teacher's phones worked.
There was nothing she could do now except for waiting for the cleaners to come which would be around or after six.

The strap of her bag fell from her shoulder as she turned around. She had to sit now as she felt dead tired. She moved to the placed where she was sitting in earlier having a clear view of the doors but only to come to a halt with what she saw.

He was sitting there.

And staring at her with the same look on his face that he had in that storeroom.
