"You choose a cafe to meet me instead of a good restaurant." Arman...
"Papa—" Armaan begin to talk as Alia saw Siddharth's facial expressions changed into something full of Fury.
"What is the meaning of this?" He haste aisi glare at both of them making Alia's eyes lower, "You two not kids that we could excuse anything like this. Do you understand what this means?" He waved his hand around the both of them.
Armaan father might be someone who was modern in thinking and evolve with time but there were a few things that he settled with in his orthodox thinking. One of those was a boy and a girl especially before marriage could not stay in one room for the night.
Where as the two people in front of him had done exactly that.
Arman sighed and shook his head. "None of that happened, whatever you thinking about. Alia came to my room early in the morning because she woke up and want to talk."
Siddharth scoffed, "is that what you think I'm going to believe? Alia," he turned to her, "if you woke up early in the morning then go back to sleep or put on a movie you have television provided in your room. Why would you enter my son's room?"
Alia gulped. Wha—how did this happen? She was shocked with the sudden change in events that she actually good night process any of this. She started out the words but then cleared her throat before talking to him. "I d-didn't, I mean I woke up around four and I was not being able to go back to sleep and—"
"If you were not able to go back to sleep then watch the bloody television in your room!" He yelled making her jump. "What sense would it make for you to enter in a room with a boy that you have the blood relation with?"
She gulped and took a step back and Arman stepped forward. "Calm down, I am telling you nothing happened. She was just about to leave when you opened the door." He pointed to where his father stood. "And we were just talking. Do you not trust your own child?"
Siddharth shook his head as he looked at his son with hardened eyes. "I know what my son exactly is and I know the education and are bringing that I have given him. But it does not take more than a second for all of that to go away," he looked at Alia, "does it?"
Alia looked away. She could feel the tears building in her eyes. It was too much.
"Have you to not heard enough to what is happening with people all around the world?" He snapped loudly at them. "I do not want my son to get involved with this and I do not want you to be involved with this." He looked at both of them pointedly. "The world out there is worst. If I am chiding you right now then they would be hitting with stone and sticks!"
Siddharth then sighed and stepped back. He pinched the bridge of his nose stressfully. "I don't understand what the both of you were thinking. It could have been any one and what would you have given them as an answer?" He sighed.
Siddharth looked at Alia, "Go to your room child. Hurry." He stepped away, giving her the room to walk out without looking at him.
Alia without glancing at Arman walked of the room and didn't look back at any one until she reached the door to her room. She closed the door behind her and slid down the door. What the hell just happened? She palmed her entire mouth and shivered.
"I don't understand," Siddharth yelled at Arman, "have a never told you countless times to not stay alone with a girl even if she is your cousin in a room without any supervision?"
Arman tsked in irritation, "she was Alia—"
"I don't care!" The elder man bellowed, "I never wanted my son to be involved with anything that could raise a special fingers over him. I taught you better than this I taught you not to do this Exactly. I don't give fuck to whom it was whether earlier or your cousin or even a maid. Do you know it doesn't take people a second to point fingers as to who was responsible for this? Even if you were not, you would be considered guilty. "
Arman nodded his head. "I understand where you're coming from dad. And I would never repeat this mistake again. If it consoles you then you know I'm going to marry Alia in your future." He provided with looking sullen himself. It was obvious that when his father was looking at him the disappointed gays for the first time Arman felt shame bubble inside him.
Siddharth nodded at that, "I know that you would be marrying her. Especially after this I want you to get married as soon as possible. But remember until the day you do not sign the marriage certificate I do not want you to in the same room without anyone else." Siddharth rose a finger pointing it to his son as he warned him about this. "Remember that."
Arman nodded and Siddharth left but not before glancing into the direction of Alia's room.
Arman closed the door behind his father's exit and fell onto the bed again. Guess, he was getting married sooner than later
