"You choose a cafe to meet me instead of a good restaurant." Arman...
Advik had woken up and was very happy to say the least to hear the news of Alia getting married. Which ultimately had the entire family prepare for the wedding that was two months away.
Alia had avoided Ziagham. In the hustle and bustle of the wedding preparations it had been difficult to get some time alone to herself and think about what happened but as far as she knew, that should not have happened and Alia could not wrap her head around the fact that she had done something like that.
She sighed loudly. She was in the bathroom, having excused herself to bathroom breaks was the only excuse she had. Otherwise, if you went to her room alone someone else would walk in with her.
They irritated her to the bone.
However she had to do this for her brother. She understood the concerns that he had for her but now that he was getting better it only seems ridiculous.
Why did she have to marry or Armaan have to propose her when Advik was alright? Since none of them were moving any far it seems to be the best option to let things work as they had earlier.
Yet, she was getting married and not only that but she was getting married to a person that she loved.
"Alia?" A repeated knock came on the door making her look away from the mirror and wash her hands before leaving to it.
"Hello, Sunita Auntie," Alia wished as soon as she opened the door to her bathroom. Yes, these people entered her room when she was in the bathroom. Now she loved the manners that her family had.
"Hello, child, would you mind coming down stairs? We are deciding the outfits and since you are going to have coordinated colours we need to decide the decor too!"
The wild grin on her face only irritated Alia further. Why was she so happy? "I'll be rught behind you." Alia said with a small smile on her face as the aunt left.
She huffed. By the faces and the smile every relative had on their face Alia could tell which one was fake and which one was not by her personal experience. Without waiting for another relative to come into her room only to drive her away she started going down stairs after closing her room.
A wide get fake smile came to her face in a room filled with women. Everyone was over excited for this wedding and Alia could not imagine how she was going to spend two months with these ladies in the house because frankly she had never imagined her wedding to be on such a large scale.
She had always imagined hers to be a small and intimate ceremony with only family for the wedding and there a huge reception afterwards for everyone.
Here, it was quite the opposite. Jewellery formed around the table as if it was fake and brought from a vendor on the street, books with designs of clothes and wedding decor life around and thrown down and not to mention the ladies that were occupying every bit of space in the huge living room.
"Alia!"
Oh no, it's not just one woman that had followed her. That name had been called out by every woman in the room who wanted the bride to pay her special attention.
Alia turned around and saw Armaan's grandmother calling her whom she attended to first. "Yes?"
Jagriti smiled, "Come sit," she said and Alia plopped down on the couch next to her. "Also start calling my grandmother."
"I will," Alia said soflty as the memories of her dealing with her on grandmother surfaced. "What did you call me here for?"
"Nothing," Jagriti leaned to whispered in her ear, "everyone call you to them to make sure that everyone knows who the bright prefers. I called you here so that you don't have to do that." She winked as she pulled away.
Alia chuckled as She watched the women in hidden amazement. She was so freaking cool!
After a brief conversation Alia focused on the room. It was true. If anyone paid close attention to any woman in the room They could say that whatever her concerns were, at the end of the day, it always came around to what she wanted. Not the bride.
"You look overwhelmed." Laksha noted from afar before coming and saying that to Alia. "Don't worry, after today they will be going to their homes until we decide for the the date of the wedding ceremony."
Alia nodded. She could not wait for them to leave and at the same time she could wait for the waiting to happen. There were so many mixed feelings inside her that she did not know how and in what direction to step into first.
She leaned over the table and took a earring in her hand. At least the jury was beautiful and she enjoyed every moment with them.
