The time to go home was still a far thought and Armaan had reassured her time and again that if she wanted to stay for more, they would stay.

But now he was telling her to pack her suitcase.

"If you wanted to work, just say so." Alia grumbled under her breath as she hazardously continued to through her clothes in the suitcase. "it's fine. Cut the vacations short just because you want to work and I can't get a job!"

"taking your frustrations out on me is not going to help," Armaan intervened as he started to fold the clothes that she had thrown inside the suitcase. "at least try to fold them twice."

She huffed. "can you tell me why we are doing this? I thought I had over two weeks to enjoy and more if I said so."

He shrugged. "Pack the bags and see for yourself."

That was something she had been hearing on repeat. Pack the bags and see for yourself, pack the bags and board the flight just to find out where she was going when he knew it all the time?

Not fair.

"why do you have to know if I cannot? It's not fair that every time you know things and I don't." She slammed her hands on the side of her body in frustration at The end of her rant.

He finally turned to look at her and narrowed eyes before getting up and walking towards her.

Stopping right in front of her, he held her face in between his hands and said, "this is how it's going to be for most of our lives, Alia. I am going to new things that you will not know until I decide to tell you and you have to make your peace with it."

She blinked, processing and thinking about what he said before her frown deepened. "what is that supposed to mean? Am I not of equal importance to you?"

Arman chuckled. "If anything, you are of more importance to me. That is why I choose to protect you from something that will upset you."

"So you would rather choose to hold out on information or just hide it from me all together?"

"Precisely, yes." He agreed. " if there is something, that I know will upset you in the slightest, I will hold that information from you and I have no shame in admitting that."

Staring into his eyes to make sure that he was actually serious about it and was not going to crack a smile at the end of it, Alia ended up shaking her head and throwing more clothes in the bag.

This conversation would definitely be picked up at another time.

Something different happened at the airport. They did not go through the regular checking line, in fact they did not go through anything that they had done before.

Instead, they would lead to an almost empty hallway and someone was leading them along with someone who was carrying their backs in a trolley.

Were they arrested? Escorted off to somewhere else?

She kept quiet even though there was nervousness building inside her. But the man next to her had no such expressions and that gave her some reassurance. If he was come then so was she.

Unlike what she had previously been thinking about, they came to a clearing where she found a plane smaller than the commercial one they had taken before.

"What?" She whispered to him and also watched as the guy, who was carrying their bags behind them moved to the end of the plane. "where is he taking our stuff?"

"Inside the plane." Came his short answer as he held her hand to help her up the stairs.

Once they were inside, he buckled her belt for her before settling in the sea beside her and that was when Alia looked around.

There was no one else in the plane except them and this was no ordinary plane with rows and rows of seats.

This looked more like it... A private plane. "are we in a private plane?"She asked hesitantly.

"Yes," he answered with the smile and reached over to place a kiss on the side of her forehead. "enjoy the ride."

"To where?" She asked pointedly but her voice overlapped the voice of the pilot who was announcing the takeoff.

Once again, when the familiar feeling of takeoff came, she held on to his hand and closed her eyes only to open them once they were in the air.

Having no idea where they were going, and still frustrated with the lack of answers to her questions Alia just snuggled into the most luscious chair she had ever sat in before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

"Hey," someone touched her shoulder and tapped it enough to wake her up.

Groggy from sleep, she blinked her eyes to get rid of the remains before turning to her husband. "Look outside." He pointed go the window.

Still sleepy and grumpy, earlier turned around to look outside the window only for her to wake up completely and sit up in her chair. "Is that the—?!"

" The Eiffel Tower, yes." He completed her sentence for her. "Welcome to Paris, baby."
