"You choose a cafe to meet me instead of a good restaurant." Arman...
"Alright, bye," she kissed his forehead very lightly, "bye!" She said once again as she hurriedly placed her bag on her shoulder.
"Bye, have a nice day!" Advik said in a loud voice as his sister was already out of the door.
She was late, scratch that, she was super late. Usually the office started at 9 a.m. but the employees were allowed to come in 15 because of the traffic.
It was nine-thirty and she was fifteen minutes late. This day was going to be her half day and she was going to receive the payment of half day as well and that was if she managed to reach before 10 otherwise she was not even going to get paid for the day!
"Shit, shit, shit," she chanted as she hurriedly took out the key with trembling hands and placed it into the ignition point.
She glanced at the time. It said 9:17 am.
She huffed a breath out, she could reach their in time.
The round came and and the red light glared at her making her press the brakes. Her fingers tapped on the steering wheel nervously as she waited for it to turn red. In the rush hour the light could go as far as 23 minutes as well.
She glanced at the time. It said 9:25 am.
She shook her head. If she was 5 minutes late than they could surely excuse her. She had seen it happen numerous time.
The light finally went green and Aliya stepped onto the gas. She turned the wheel onto a shallow angle as did every other car. The indicator was turned to the the inside as she did not have to turn yet.
On the second turn she turned indicator to the other side and slowly turned the wheel as well when a sudden jerk came and came her gasp. Her entire body sprang forward and she gasped for Air as her lungs met with the steering wheel with knee jerking force.
She saw people gather around but she slipped out of it all.

"As if this was what had been left for you to deal with," Siddharth snapped, "how could you have been an idiot to let her go to work when you have almost had her inside our house?"
Armaan's jaw ticked. The site of Alia in a hospital bed was not pleasing at all. It did not help either that his father was yelling at him. "I did not know that you have an accident."
"Her brothers on a fucking hospital bed what makes you think she was in a sane mind to drive. You couldn't have given our driver we have five when we are three?!" He pointed his finger at Alia. "You and your mother do not want me to interfere but that is what happens when I don't. "
Armaan flared his nostrils. "I'll be back." He said as he walked out of the hospital room and heard his father grunt in reply.
Fuck, he wanted to hit something. He should have known that this could happen. Even though he knew that earlier had immense stress on her mind he had never thought that she would have an accident while driving.
It was going to be this just one time. After she had shifted to his house he was going to make sure that it was his driver and his car that she was using. One time, one fucking time that he had let it happen and this.
His phone was in his hand and he dialled a number he thought that he would never have to dial again.
"Mr. Chaudhary, how may I—"
"You are going to fire Aliya Ahuja. The dam reason is going to be that Yuva downsizing."
"What?" His panicked voice was heard immediately, 'but was I not supposed to keep an eye on her?"
"Keep your fucking eye to yourself," he grunted out, "and do as your told. It should happen today itself but call her tomorrow." Taking the phone off his ear he hung up the call and walked back to the room where Aliya was staying.
He stared at who was in the bed. She was not injured too badly but the blow to her lungs had given her quite a shock. No ribs were fracture but were bruised pretty bad and she would need to rest. Taking her off of her job was the perfect solution. There was also a small injury to her forehead. A minor one.
"What are you going to do about it now?" Siddharth said from behind as he was sitting on the couch in the room. Alia was provided a better room than her brother was. The irony was amazing. Both of the brothes and sister got together in a hospital but only rooms apart.
"Nothing much," he said not taking his eyes off her, "but first of all that apartments going away. She is going to shift into our house."
"About time." His father commented. "Do not tell your mother about this. I will send the movers and everything would be moved today evening." He rubbed his hands slightly, finally he had something to do. He closed the door on his way out.
Armaan settled into the seat provided by the bed. His hand immediately went to her cheek which had a huge bruise on it. "Oh dear one," he sighed, "and here I thought that I had already done enough. Turns out you need me much more than I let your believe."
