"You choose a cafe to meet me instead of a good restaurant." Arman...
Her hands shook As she packed up every thing, every letter in every envelope and the photo in it. She did not want to touch the photo anymore, it was tainted now.
In her overthinking, Alia had forgotten that it was almost time for Armaan to be home. He was coming in early today because he knew that no one else was going to be at home.
Shit, shit, shit, shit. He would be coming inside the room any moment now.
Closing the box shut, she placed it in between two different boxes before placing another box over it.
Justice Alia made her way out of the Store room, she found Armaan going upstairs by the stairs while typing away on his phone.
Good, she needed to think about what was going on. While making her way upstairs, Alia remembered something important that she had forgotten with every thing that had happened.
She had received a call, way too long ago for her to remember clearly, but it was from the central jail. Her father had escaped, along time ago that too but she had forgotten it after her mother had passed away.
Could that be—
"Hey," he whispered, standing behind her before taking her into his arms. "how was your day without me?"
"Boring," Alia admitted without thinking twice about it. That was what she felt daily when he would leave. " I never thought Netflix could create so much of boredom for me."
"Words I thought I'd never hear from you." He kissed her neck before turing her around and picking her up. "Don't worry, I'll give you something to think about."

Alia blowdried hair as much as she could. It would not look nice if she went to the dinner table with her hair wet.
"Alia," Arman knocked on the door of the bathroom. "my parents are going to have dinner outside the house. They would probably be late."
They would? Was not told about that. In fact, they had gone out separately.
Unplug in the hair dryer, she moved to the door before opening it and standing in front of him with the frowning face. "why? Why did their plans change suddenly?"
"I don't know," He said standing behind her and Wrapping his arms around her. "Maybe they are giving us a chance."
"For what?"
"For making them grand parents." He kissed a spot behind her ear making her shiver slightly.
The words registered in her mind and she froze for a second. Grandparents? Children? It had barely been months to her wedding, six to be exact, and they wanted her to have a child?
As much as she wanted to have children at one point in her life, now was not a moment. Not when she was not familiar with the married life as she wanted to be.
Her original plan of family planning did not accept it either. But it did not consider the fact that she was going to marry into a quite rich household. His family had enough savings to make sure that their children and their children had a comfortable lifestyle but she had nothing. That was the problem.
"Where are you?" He pinched her waist, making her jump. "What occupied your mind with me?"
Alia gulped but chose to say it. "here is the thing, I don't want to have a child right now. Can we wait for an year at least?"
"Why?" Arman's piercing eyes met hers through the mirror.
"Why not?" She shrugged and moved out of his hold. " I'm not asking you for a decade, Armaan. I'm just asking you do not have a baby with me for an year and support me in this."
He sighed and allowed her out before taking a step back. "Reason?"
Fuck, he was not going to let it go and that was irritating as hell.
"There is no reason for it. I just don't want to ask a baby now. I have my brother to look after." Regardless of the fact that he did not pay her the slightest bit of his attention. "Why can we not wait. It has for live in six months tour marriage anyway."
He raised an eyebrow before pointing out the bathroom. "Come with me."
She followed him out wordlessly. He went out of the room and she followed behind him with five paces in between them.
He stopped at the balcony that over saw the gardens behind the house. Beckoning her closer to him, with his arm around her voice she pointed to her brother who was walking and exercising with his nurse and physiotherapist.
"He is more than fine, Aliya. If all goes well, then next year he would be able to start college." He whispered in her ear. "Now, tell me why."
Because she received two letters, one ending with P and one being addressed directly to her by her father. Both of which were threatening in one way or the other. Both of which she had hidden from him.
Apart from the fact that she had received a call from Central Jail that her father was out of prison. That now it was going to be a problem from him because it was clear he was holding her responsible for something.
"Nothing," she ended up saying. " I just need to... Clear my mind." Pulling away from him, she walked inside the house.
