(not a request, got an idea after remembering the avatar you make at the start of Deltarune and then have to watch the poor thing be destroyed)
(Gender neutral as usual!~)

Everyone could agree that you and Kris were very alike, nearly identical in personality. Yet even Kris had his moments of emotion, you, on the other hand, almost never showed any at all.
Kids would pick on you for it, and have been for years. But thankfully Toriel was always there to diffuse the situation.
But now you were in the older kids' part of the school, and that meant Toriel wouldn't be there. You had no doubt that Kris would help you whenever possible, but that couldn't be guaranteed considering you would be switching classrooms throughout the day.
You sighed silently, focusing back on the lesson, trying to ignore the few stares you got every now and then.

Classes switched, and you had to watch as Kris ruffled your hair before heading on to a classroom you weren't going to.
Entering your classroom, you were relieved to see Susie in there. Being one of Kris' friends, you knew she wouldn't pick on you like the others.
Teasing sure, but she knew the limits.
Shying away from others as they entered the room, you quickly sat down next to Susie, who gave you a grin past the piece of calk she was eating.
Once she was finished with it, you discreetly pulled out another piece from your bag.
Y'know, normal you and Susie things.

Lunchtime rolled around, and you were caged in the hallway.
"So, weirdo, you don't do much other than sit around." One monster mocked.
"Yeah, what are you? A statue?" Another chimed in, a human this time.
You stood there, emotionless as usual, a neutral frown on your face. Despite not having a Soul, you still felt the feelings of fear, that horrible stomach-churning fear.
You lacking a Soul had been something you, Kris, and Toriel had all taken lengths to hide, not wanting to know what would happen if someone found out.
The only other people who knew were Sans, Alphys and Gaster.(he's in here because I said so)
They had plans to get you a Soul, but so far there had been no luck.
Back to the present, you made no reaction to being shoved into the locker behind you, the lock digging into your back.
"Why so quiet, freak?"
You shuddered at that word, you hated that word.
"Go away..." You replied, your barely used voice coming out in a whisper.
"Ooo, looks like that got a reaction outta them!"
"Yeah, so what else do we gotta do to make you talk?"
You were trembling now, wanting nothing more than to hide between Kris and Susie at the lunch table, listening to Noelle babble on and on.
You were shoved again, this time to the floor. The fear turned into adrenaline, your fight-or-flight responses kicking in as you got up, breaking off into a sprint. You didn't get very far however, seeing as a hand snatched you by the back of your sweater.
You kicked and thrashed, listening to them cackle like hyenas.
"Let go!"
You froze at the tug in your chest, watching as nothing came out. You were visibly shaking now, dropped from the human's grip. You looked up, seeing their horrified faces at your lack of Soul and your gray, pupil-less eyes.
You couldn't run even if you wanted to, stuck in the battle format and forced to watch them stare down at you.
Suddenly a loud bang hit your ears as a knife was lodged into the metal of the lockers, the sound enough to startle your bullies out of the battle. The moment you could move again, you were curling up on the floor hiding your face from the world.
Kris was at the end of the hall, red eyes ablaze as the rage rolling off them became nearly palpable.
"Tell me," they murmured, dragging your bullies back into that battle format once again. "Do you take joy in frightening others?"
Kris stalked forward, face neutral aside from their blazing eyes. "Do you like seeing others fear you?"
Kris stopped in front of you, crouching down to scoop you up and cradle you to their chest.
"Well whatever the answer is, feel lucky I have someone to tend to. You won't be dealing with me, you'll be dealing with a friend."
A glance over Kris' shoulder showed Susie walking down the hall, her razor-sharp teeth glinting in the light.
"Consider this an act of mercy." Kris hissed, turning and carrying you away.
You did your best to ignore the shouts of the bullies as you hid your face in Kris' shoulder.
The rest of the day went by pleasantly, no one bothered you, Kris split half a chocolate bar with you, and Noelle decorated you with colorful paper flowers she made in art. By the time school was over, Kris was piggybacking your sleeping form home, a small smile on your face.
