(Also I almost forgot PJ stood for Paperjam so if that doesn't tell you how long it's been since I've interacted with this fandom I dunno what will XD)

You followed your brother into the daycare, where you both set out to get it prepared for the kids that would begin to arrive in the next hour. PJ set up the playrooms while you headed to the kitchen, starting up a snack plate of healthy things and setting it to the side before getting things ready for cookies later on.
Not too long after you began making the cookies, you could hear the chattering and pitter-pattering of children filling the front room.
Focusing on the batter in front of you, you missed when someone stepped into the room until they hugged your legs.
Jumping slightly and looking down, your face melted into a smile at the sight of Blue.
"Well, good morning, Blueberry."
"Good morning, (Y/n)!"
You paused in stirring the batter to pat his head and point to the tray of snacks you had set out.
"There's some healthy snacks over there, of everyone is good, there'll be cookies later on!"
Blue beamed up at you, moving to grab a snack before running back into the other room, the sound of him telling everyone else reaching your ears. You chuckled softly, turning back to the bowl in front of you.

By the time the cookies were done cooling, the healthy snack tray was almost empty. You quickly moved the cookies onto a different tray, taking it with you into the other room.
The children were all in their little groups, coloring their drawings or building little towers with blocks. PJ had joined Fell and Error in their block tower, but excused himself upon seeing you.
"Thank you, (Y/n)." He smiled at you as he took the tray, setting it on the kiddie table. "(Y/n) made cookies everyone!"
You watched as they all jumped up, a chorus of 'thank you's following as they all settled down together around the table.
"You're all very welcome." You replied, sitting down between (I'll let you choose who to sit with~).
You made sure there were plenty of cookies for everyone, a few stories got told, ranging from a cat they saw the other day to something completely made up.
After that was naptime before they all had to go home for the day. Most of them settled down easily enough, but others were being fussy.
Softly rolling your eyelights at the crankier children, your response was to hum to them, and in no time at all they were all asleep.
"Thanks for that, (Y/n)." PJ whispered as you two stepped into the kitchen to clean up after snacktime.
"Not a problem, PJ. Did one of them draw on you?" You laughed quietly, seeing a rainbow had been drawn on his face in what you hoped was permanent marker.
Why?
Because that would be funny.
"I didn't have the heart to tell them no." He admitted, trying to scrub it off to no avail.
"Oh my god it's permanent marker."
You held a hand to your mouth to quiet yourself at PJ's defeated sigh.

"Bye Mr PJ! Bye (Y/n)!" Inky exclaimed on his way out, waving frantically so you'd see him waving.
"Bye-Bye Inky!" You replied, waving before grinning evilly, "And I'll make sure PJ doesn't wash the rainbow off his face!"
The beaming smile on Inky's face warmed your soul, but PJ's response made it even better.
"How dare you."
