You waved bye to Sans as he dashed out the door, clearly excited as he rushes to be early for his training/sleepover with Alphys.
Papyrus would be back from the store in a bit, seeing as you needed stuff for dinner, so at the moment it was just you and Chara.
You had fallen down years ago, and somehow wormed your way into the skelebones family.
Chara had fallen down last week, and like with you, Sans was excited to have someone new around.
Papyrus returned with groceries to find you and Chara working on a puzzle at the table. You glanced up at his arrival, ruffling Chara's hair before getting up to help with the bags.
"So what all did you get, Paps?"
"I got (fav food)."
"Ooo I love that!" You grinned, rushing to get the groceries into the kitchen.
"I know, that's why I got it." Papyrus chuckled, glancing over at the puzzle. With a quick use of his magic, he discreetly helped Chara with the puzzle, tossing them a wink when they grinned up at him.
"So did Sans already head off to Alphys'?"
"Yep!" You replied, getting out what you needed for dinner, "Said he was definitely going to get in the royal guard by tomorrow."
Papyrus let out a laugh, turning away to sit with Chara at the table. "Yeah, that sounds like him!"
Papyrus and Chara worked on the puzzle, nearly completing it as you worked on dinner.
"Dinner's almost done guys!" You called, very nearly burning your hand on the (pot/pan/stove) before you caught yourself.
"Don't burn yourself!" Papyrus called back, clearly seeing your near slip-up.
"Shush!" You barked, reaching up to grab plates/bowls from the cabinet. Oh but of course, Papyrus got to them first.
You playfully stuck your tongue out at him as he gave you a wink, hearing Chara giggle at your antics in the background.
Once plates/bowls were filled, Papyrus, using his magic, moved the puzzle from the kitchen table to the coffee table in the living room, not disturbing any of the pieces as you set the kitchen table.
"Hope you like it, Chara." You hummed, sitting next to them. You grinned at how their eyes lit up at the taste of your cooking, a content sound leaving them.
After dinner and possible seconds, you set what was left in the fridge, going about the kitchen to clean up. Chara insisted on helping you, so you had them dry the dishes you washed, and Papyrus put them away.
And yes, of course, without lifting a gosh darn finger!
You shook your head at him, causing him to chuckle before Chara dragged you off to go finish the puzzle.
