A/N: I can't believe all of you. Thank you! 50VOTES

Nathalie's POV

Turns out, Walt was in a few more of my classes. But, he disappeared after we spoke. I wonder where he went; and if he's okay. Ever since first lesson, every time I'd see Calista, she'd glare venomously at me. What's her problem?

The rest of the day went by surprisingly fast. For a first day, it was enjoyable. That was about to change very fast.

I had PE before lunch. As I was walking, Liz caught up with me.

"Hello cutie" I raised my eyebrows.

"Hi Liz! Cutie?" She giggled.

"Oh nothing. I just like your outfit today!" Um... Okay? All I was wearing was a pair of skinny jeans, a lime green shirt and black flats with my messenger bag. What was so special with that? I looked at her again. He's when I noticed the small bruise on the nape of her neck. Go figure.

"Thanks. By the way, you missed a spot" I winked and pointed to her neck. She blushed scarlet and rushed to the nearest bathroom. I shook my head and continued to class.

"Nat! God. You ditcher!" Liz had caught up with me again.

"Don't you have class?"

"I have Study Hall now. So, I asked coach if I could do laps with the rest of you guys."

"Oh. Aww! You wanna spend more time with me, don't you!” I poked her.

"To be honest, yes. I missed you over the summer Nathalie!" She said totally poker-faced. We both knew the amount of truth in that. Liz was probably too busy making out with Lucas to bother with anything else. We both burst out laughing. With those thoughts in mind, we went to get ready for PE.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We had to run five laps around the field. The freshman class before us had ticked the coach off and she was taking her anger out on everyone else.

"C'mon ladies! Move those skinny behinds. Slow runners have to do two extra laps!" She bellowed. Liz and I were pretty good at laps. So we finished them in record time: six minutes, forty five seconds. Cali came second: six minutes, fifty seconds.

"Alright, now that everyone's done their laps, we're gonna be doing the fitness test, so warm up," the class collectively groaned. The fitness test was the worst possible thing, she could have given us. After five laps, nobody had the energy to do all the other obstacles for that stupid test. The only person that seemed to be happy with the test was Mary. She was a sports/fitness freak; obsessed with diets and staying slim. And so, the coach started us on sit-ups, push-ups, long jump, rope climbing, etc.

Twenty minutes later, everybody was changed and waiting in the locker room for the bell. That's when Cali came up to Liz and I.

"Hi Liz!" She cooed

"Hey Cali! What's up?" One thing I'd noticed about Liz was that, whenever one of her cheerleader friends would come up to us, she would act like I didn't exist. I know I shouldn't be friends with someone who does stuff like that, but I had no other friends. Lucas wasn't an option; we had too much history. So, I continued putting away my gym clothes, hearing them talk about the latest things. While, they continued talking I got a text on my phone:

I'll be late today. I'm working overtime today. Are you working today? -Gran

Oh. I quickly typed back that I would be working today and might be late too. Somebody tapped me on the shoulder. It was Cali

She cleared her throat, "I asked you a question,"

"Um... Sorry. I didn't realize. Could you repeat?"

"Could you? God, Liz! You're friends with this geek?" She laughed. I could tell all the girls in this row were listening to our conversation. "Have you seen Walt anywhere?"

"Um... No. He was in the library last, I think." I hadn't asked him what he had after Study Hall.

"We'll, I've been looking for him all day. He disappeared after fourth lesson. And it's the sixth lesson now."

"Um... Did you try calling him?"

"He's not answering the phone," Oh. Where was Walt?!

"Well, if I see him, I'll tell him you're looking for him!" I smiled.

"No you won't. Look nerd, I know you were there with him I'm the library. Whatever you're trying to accomplish, stop it. He's my boyfriend."

"Walt and I were childhood friends. We lost touch so we were catching up! Don't you trust him?" I wanted to slap her. I knew what she was implying.

"I do trust him. It's you I don't trust-"

"You don't even know me!" She scoffed. Her posse had joined her and now were smirking at each other.

"Neither did Walt in class today. And you claim that you were childhood friends. If you lie, at least make it convincing!" She jabbed.

"We found out in class that we used to know each other!"

"I don't care! If you don't stay away from my boyfriend, I will make sure your life is ruined."

"I couldn't care less what somebody was shallow as you thinks," what she did next, shocked me. Cali raised her hand and slapped me right across the face.

"Cali! What are you doing?!" Liz screamed. Oh, now she comes to my defense.

"The slut deserved it. Did you know that she and Lucas had a moment today? In the hallway, before she went to meet Walt. I was on my way to the bathroom, and i saw the whole thing. She's making moves on your boyfriend too, honey."

"We didn't have a moment. We ran into each other. Literally. Lucas caught me before I fell to the floor"

"Is that why your faces were so close to each other?"

"Tends to happen when you pull someone up," All Liz did was stand there. Staring at both of us; trying to decide which one of us to believe.

"Nat, what she's saying true?" Liz looked at me.

"I cannot believe you're asking me that. I'm your best friend! Why would I do something like that?!" I wanted to scream and cry. Cry because memories were flooding back.

"Nat..." Cali mimicked "It's not good to steal other people's boyfriends! If you want one, I suggest you lose weight. Or try your shot with the janitors." Her posse laughed.

"Go to hell Calista," I said to her. Liz stared at us in shock. I turned around, grabbed my bag and walked away. I heard Cali laugh with her posse; probably a joke at my expense. I stormed off till I reached the bathroom closest to my locker and locked myself in a stall. That's when the tears started to fall.
