Nathalie's POV

Monday's suck. Enough said.

As usual, Walt came in the morning and had breakfast with us. It was like he was becoming part of the family. Gran didn't mind either. She seemed to like that I was becoming friends with someone other than The Poor People. For some reason, relief started washing over her every time Walt would come over.

Anyways, breakfast went well. Walt was polite, and Gran enjoyed having him over. I didn't mind either. Only in the car, did Walt become his usual cocky self.

"So... I spoke to Mary," at first I didn't understand why speaking to Mary was so significant.

"And?" I motioned for him to continue and bent down to pick up a few things that had fallen out of my bag.

"She told me about your little shopping trip,"

My head snapped up so fast, I think something cracked. Immediately, Walt burst out with laughter.

"Stop the car," Walt stopped the car and looked at me; all while laughing.

"First time, eh?" I felt my face heat up.

"I'm gonna kill myself now..."

Walt bumped his fist with my shoulder.

"She got a video of your reaction you know,"

"And I'm taking her with me!" And Walt started laughing again. I glared at him.

"C'mon. You wanna laugh. I know you do!" He poked me with every sentence. And I started laughing as well.

"But Walt..." He heard my tone and immediately straightened his face. "I don't want people to talk and stuff so like-"

"Oh, no. Don't worry. I'll keep this to myself. And plus, you think my girlfriend would let me live if she heard?" I smiled at him.

"You look nice today," that caught me by surprise. I looked at him with eyebrows raised.

"What?"

"I said you look nice today," Walt repeated as if he was speaking to a four year old.; saying each word slowly.

"Thank you?"

"It's a compliment Nat. Accept it,"

"I'm not used to them, I guess," Walt looked at me as if I was mad.

"Why not?"

"Well, all of my friends compliment me because they're my friends. And Gran? She's Gran." I chucked. "I haven't had a genuine compliment in a while I guess. From a guy at least,"

Walt exhaled.

"So, the last guy to tell you that you looked pretty was your old boyfriend?" I thought about that. A lot of the times Lucas has told me I was pretty was around Liz. Now I doubt those were ever for me.

"I guess so,"

"Are you ever gonna tell me who this guy is?"

"You're better off not knowing. Trust me," Walt grinned at me.

"Did you find a dress for the event?"

"No," I frowned, "according to Mary, Jess, Katie and Rachel everything I tried on was wrong,"

"Oh,"

"I was thinking of finding something old of Mom's. If it fits..." Walt stayed silent for a few seconds.
